From Arum's words I get the impression that he cares more about Lomachenko's popularity than Walters', hopefully this doesn't lead to forcing Walters to come down to 126.

I don't get that at all. I get the fact that Lomachenko and the proposed co-feature are Ukrainian and he wants to sell tickets. Granados, Postol's proposed opponent is also from Chicago so I can see why Chicago would be mentioned.

NY has a lot of Ukrainians and also some Jamaicans which is where Walters is from so I can see why he is looking at those two locations

Problem with the question to Rafael is the guy uses the word "official", which isn't what the report says...just a verbal agreement.

It's a very solid fight and I dont think it is a matter of HBO not being interested. It is a matter of HBO prioritizing fights in the face of a Time Warner budget crunch that has seen HBO Sports get hammered as much as any division in the company recently. So the money is very tight right now. And if you are Peter Nelson you have to ask yourself is it worth spending seven figs on a VLom-Walters/Postol-Granados card compared to other events you could program? Do you think that card, while excellent, moves the needle in any way?
