Povetkin is not a fringe contender...it will be by far the best win on Wilders resume..

Well, Povetkin is universally ranked ahead of Wilder How is he a fringe contender? No.3 behind Fury, and Wlad

Wilder doesn't even make the top 5

        1) Fury
        2) Wlad
        3) Povetkin
        4) Ortiz
        5) Joshua

Why is Joshua above him? Because in his last fight he stopped a man who would've beaten ANY of Wilder's previous opponents including Stiverne.

I really hope Wilder fights Povetkin next. No more bums and easy fights. Division is there for the taking. Povetkin, WLad/Fury winner, Ortiz, Joshua.

If all of them fight each other the HWT divison will be really exciting to watch.

Why does the Champ have to go to another country to fight his opponent?
It's one thing if it was some place neutral, but you got to fight for your title in someone else back yard taking away one of the few advantages you have, and be forced to KO a guy because you may not get the decision even if you do fight well.

New York and Vegas are the best places for this fight. Are they going to put it on PPV in Russia, because if so then Wilder will be compensated for having to travel.

he doesnt, assuming of course his mega-rich promoter wins the purse bid.

I do love the irony though of people who were so gleeful over the whole Haymon-Duva purse bid thing, well they seem to be quite unhappy that Haymon might actually be on the receiving end of a bidder who is willing to overpay.......

Povetkin is a great contender. He has fought all types of styles been in there with the best and koed some top guys. Definitely one of the top fighters without a title right now. What is Wilder gonna do if Povetkin walks through his right hand and starts landing some hard shots of his own, in a place far far away from Alabama? He will be tested!

Sorry I stand corrected Povetkin is above that. Although rankings are just a number he will provide a great test for Wilder. Should have said top contender instead, my bad.
