          Rule 2.17
provided, however, that the WBC Board of Governors, may by a majority vote, authorize a
modification of the division of purse offer proceeds between boxers in a purse offer in
unusual or special cases, such as consideration of outstanding marketing value of one of the
boxers, as the WBC shall determine in its sole discretion

Which is right under that rule, which means the WBC can do whatever they want.

So let's see who guesses the closest...I'm gonna say $10 million from the Russians.. $5.2 from a Haymon backed promoter...

Let's be honest if this was on PBC wilder would get like 1.5 million...he's gonna get fking paid for this fight if he goes through with it and heads to Russia...

Weirdly enough, its one of the few rules that they have limits to changing it. You cut out the most important part there:

The modification of the split of the remainder shall be limited to 60-40% and 55-45%, except in the most exceptional circumstances, in which the split may be modified to 50-50%.
Those modifications, as you can see, are all in favour of a popular challenger. The WBC haven't set out a case where they can change the split in favour of a champion.

The general get-out clause for the WBC doesn't even cover it, as seen here (with the nice typo):

The WBC President or his designee shall have the authority to resolve any issue regarding purse offers if the situation if not otherwise provided for in these Rules & Regulations, or to act in their discretion to take whatever action they deem necessary and appropriate regarding purse offer procedures to preserve justice and equality.
It explicitly states authority only where the rules are not provided for, which they are (by setting a whole sub-article regulation for it).

That last part doesn't say that, it says what I am saying. It says they can do whatever they want in this case since it is not in the rules that they can't do it.

Plus their rules are like guidelines anyway, nothing is hard and fast with an alphabet body

I'll guess $11 million from PBC, $15 million from the Russians.
