Ward made Dawson come down 7 pounds because Chad said he would fight at 168, but ward can't come down 4 pounds after saying he would fight at 160? Strange.

Clear this up for me: GGG will fight Popkins at 168 but they wanted Ward at 164

Floyd's supposedly the best, yet requests cw or bloats people. He is the joke I think you mean. Or is it ward or nelo? They're all jokes

Guys tell me this isnt reall
Flip side of the coin, BHop is 51 years old and looked bad vs Kovalev, so team g string absolutely believes he will win that fight, so no catch weight needed.

GGG, his team and his network did not want to fight Andre Ward. When GGG acted like he wanted it, HBO moved away from the fight. GGG and his team knew HBO wasn't going to do the fight, especially after Lampley said on air and on TFG.
You will NEVER criticize GGG and his team. When they say something or do something questionable you pass it off as not serious or joking. When anyone criticizes them you immediately play the race card in some form or another. When it gets really bad, you actually opine that the only people criticizing him are black.
A few weeks ago you made me a bet that GGG and his team were joking about Bhop. Well is this enough of a " serious negotiation" that you lost our bet?
edit-your bet challenge post below. LMFAO how gullible you are when it comes to GGG.
There has been NO negotiation. I'll repeat, in case im not clear about that. There has been NO negotiation. All that happened is that Hops responded to the previous media statement from Loeffler that should they not be able to get Canelo, Saunders, etc etc etc, that Hops could be a possibility at 168. I repeat my earlier prediction that Loeffler was just being polite, and there has not been, nor will there be, any talks or negotiations between K2 and GBP about making GGG-Hops.
I stand by that bet, and for you to insinuate that Hopkins sending out a press release constitutes actual negotiations taking place is really weak on your partLast edited by OnePunch; 02-24-2016, 11:36 AM.

Ward and GGG met with HBO a couple of years ago. GGG says he's ready, Ward say he's not. HBO says okay let's build the fight. Over the next 2 years, GGG knocks out six MW contenders in front of sold out arenas and puts himself in a mandatory position to fight for WBC (and lineal) title against one of the biggest PPV fighters in boxing. In the meantime, Ward KO's a top 30ish fighter in Paul Smith at 172 on BET. Two years later when GGG and his team are asked what will it take to make a Ward fight, they say we will meet in the middle -- 50/50 at 164. Ward says no can do then waits OVER TWO MONTHS before sending GGG an offer in an email all on his terms - 50/50 at 168. K2 gets the offer after they had signed on for the Lemieux fight with the Cotto/Canelo winner on deck. They quickly decline. Ward and RocN run to the press claiming GGG's ducking. GGG's team responds that it would've been ****** for GGG to lock himself into a long term commitment with Ward who needed a couple of tuneups when Golovkin has a chance to gain the WBC belt in a big PPV fight in his own division. These are all indisputable facts.
While Hopkins has been nearly as inactive as Ward, his last fight was against a significantly better opponent than Paul Smith. He’s also a LHW so 168 would be meeting in the middle just like 164 would’ve been for Ward. Again just the facts…
The way I see it, Ward missed the GGG boat because he didn’t put in the work. The contract Ward sent to GGG last year had the two fighting in the fall of this year. In hindsight, I’d say GGG made the right call in passing.
