No. Hopkins would still easily beat a one-dimensional plodder like Fonfara.

      1. REFUSED to even ask Jacobs to fight or mention his name for last 3 months up until a few weeks ago.

      2. Won't entertain a Canelo fight with CW

      3. Won't entertain a Lara fight

      4. I won't bring up Ward

Only wants fights that will be geared towards unification unless it's against Hopkins...

Oh yeah, he can't find fights doe
Unless it's Hopkins or the great Chavez Jr.

People picked hopkins to beat kov because they fought at his weight class 175. If gg fought hopkins at 175 it would be very different. But he's not. Grandpa hopkins is goingto have to come down

            i hope it happens.

i wanna see GGG in vs a slick boxer.

this is a great move. it gives GGG that notable name finally. I understand the maneuver. it makes sense to me.

I don't think GGG is going to fight Hopkins, I think it is all talk. If GGG was fighting on Toe to Toe Tuesdays or in a casino ballroom in Iowa he'd probably have too resort to some carnival sideshow like this to get paid.

But he's fighting on HBO and selling tickets. He can clearly make good money fighting mandatories. Why have him fight some 51 year old where he could only look bad? If he wins, he beat some old guy. If he loses, or if he doesn't knock him out, everyone would complain.

I mean, it was a big deal for Kov to beat him as Hopkins had been doing so well. But he lost that fight, and he hasn't fought in 15 months, and this would be fight that wouldn't happen until summertime.

Hopkins meant a lot to the sport and has done an amazing job of fighting at a high level into his 50's. If he has to fight again (and personally, I'd rather he didn't) let him fight someone like Pascal or Lemieux and call it a day. No need for this fight.

This is a little bizarre. Surprised if this fight happens, I don't think it will. Hopkins should figth someone like Froch instead, that would make sense.

People picked Hopkins because they don't know shit about boxing. Bernard isn't a big LHW, and I believe he's always been up to the task of keeping his weight low throughout his career. This isn't a drained ODLH vs Pacquiao, it'd be the most dedicated boxer of the last several decades making a move he's more than capable of making. Shocking how little people know about Hopkins still.

exactly even if he wasn't going to fight ggg bhop was still moving down to 168 anyway this isn't ggg forcing him to come down.hopkins stays in great shape year round he wouldn't go through with it even he didn't think he could make it.
