In truth, I'm okay with Bika getting a rough time by the ref, because most of his succes was because he was using his head as a third fist. Since Slappy was not a dirty fighter, he deserved that break. The fight camp 360 of this fight made me feel very lowly of Ward...for once he met a guy who was as dirty as him and the guy wanted to cry.
calzaghe was certainly a dirty fighter just not in the way we are normally conditioned to think about dirty fighters. normally people think bika, maidana, casamayor but a guy who hits with the inside of the gloves nonstop(illegal) and clinches a ton(illegal) is certainly not fighting within the rules. he's also turned his back on his opponent in several of his fights when he wasn't in a good position to defend himself which isn't allowed. overall a guy who was lucky that certain rules are not enforced.

No, Calzaghe won. Bika used to give everyone problems and had a lot of close fights but don't fool yourself into giving him extra credit.

True, but ask anyone who's fought with no headgear....headbutts are just the worst....**** intentional headbutters.

It's hard to beat Calzaghe on the scorecards because of his activity and speed. Punches that don't land are seen as landed by the judges.

Calzaghe's style is deceptive, he throws a bunch of pitty pat shots that do very little damage, occasionally mixing in some power shots. It gives the illusion that he's landing effective punches, when the majority are ineffective due to a sheer lack of power.

Watch the fight closely and you'll see Calzaghe getting hit with the cleaner punches, especially on the inside.

Tell me, who do you think won the 12th round, and do you acknowledge Calzaghe's ineffective aggression missing tons of punches?

Fight wasn't really close. Bika just running in with his head down, head butting and throwing wild loopy shots. I scored it twice and both times had it 116-112 Calzahge.

Ward clearly beat Bika, I just watched it right now. Ward was picking off practically everything Bika threw to the head, he got hit with just a handful of clean shots the entire fight. Bika did some good body work, but nothing that hurt Ward, whereas Ward rocked Bika a few times by consistently landing head shots. There were a few toss up rounds and some even ones, you could've given Bika 4 at the most, and that's only because Ward took the 12th round off.

Calzaghe on the other hand was getting rocked by Bika and eating a ton of clean headshots, that fight should've been at least a draw, and a W for Bika had they counted the knockdown in the 10th.

Calzaghe dropped Hopkins with a body shot.

He pretended it was low when it was no where near.

You lose all credibility when you say that bull**** in the 10th was a clean knockdown. I suggest you get your eyes checked and learn how to score fights. Even 4 rounds to Bika is generous unless you consider rabbit punching, wrestling, and head butts as scoring blows.

That goes for you and any other clown trying to convince themselves Bika even came close to winning.

Why anyone would rate him highly is beyond me.
This so very much. I don't rate him highly at all.

I don't think there's anyone who doesn't know that about Calzaghe, but this is a sport and contact counts, not just pain. It's up to each judge to weigh it how he sees fit. Bika looking frustrated and carrying the body language of a loser probably spoke volumes to the judges as well.
