I can't see how HBO would NOT want to air Postol vs. Crawford and Loma vs. Walters! Those are 2 great fights that I thought were no-brainers for 2016!

It was only a matter of time before arum start complaining about HBO now that they are back working with Haymon . He is most likely lying anyways.

If you have more clinches then punches landed something is seriously FD up!!!

If Lomachenko were an HBO favorite he would have a fight by now just like the others. Even if it's a crappy fight, I mean look at the fights they have scheduled.
I remember arguing with a Rigo fan that said Loma gets treated better than Rigo, I told him that Loma will soon get treated like Rigo, probably not as bad. It was obvious since Loma's first two fights that this would happen. Yeah, sure HBO rides Loma whenever he's on HBO, but don't they do that to all of their fighters!? They even did it with Rigo in the beginning. It's their job. For some reason people only want to remember when they say good things about Loma, but want to forget the rest of the fighters that get any praise.
If Arum is indeed trying to make that Loma-Walters fight something has to be up. Either Arum is lying (or asking for a lot of money) or HBO is crazy. HBO's schedule is horrible this year, but they don't want Loma-Walters. That doesn't make sense.
I wouldn't be surprised if Loma-Walters/Postol-Granados doubleheader does happen, but it probably won't happen until June. Until then HBO is moving forward with their crappy fights.
People give PBC a lot of crap, but forget that HBO is far from perfect themselves.

Glad I'm not the only one who call BS on this type of wrestling in a boxing ring type fighting

Might as well just have the other guy wearing a 150 lb flak jacket on when he fights....Originally posted by Shadoww702 View PostHe wasn't better. He wasnt even trying to box. He was holding so he wouldn't get hit. Instead of using his speed or skills. And then he would put all his weight on Matty to tire him out for the later rounds IMO thats cheating.

this is why hbo doesn't want him. they can't control the refs and make them do their jobs but they can cut this crap off at the source by not televising guys that do it. obviously unless its a super fight like ward-kovalev or something. postol is not in super fight territory.
i don't know why refs let this crap keep continuing. do they not know the rules? do they not know which guy is the clincher? guys are clinching like ten times a round or more wtf? if his opponent threw 10 low blows i'm sure he would be warned/penalized in that very round. but when its clinching well maybe you get a warning, maybe! maybe a point off if you are insanely lucky. the ref is the most important element of the fight and there's zero regulation on him. everything else is extremely regulated. can only drink water, can only wear such and such gloves, can only weigh so much, but the rules? its a matter of opinion!
boxing used to have tension. when you see a guy clinching nonstop in teh first round all the tension goes right out the window....oh so this is how it's going to go. boxer vs puncher matchup used to be will the boxer be able to hang on and make it to the final bell before hte puncher catches him. now its just will the boxer be able to hang on literally! 2 reasons it should be cracked down. 1 its against the rules and 2 it makes fights excrutiating to watch. how can anyone complain about that? just cause your fav fighter does it? lame?Last edited by daggum; 02-23-2016, 10:24 AM.
