Abel Sanchez is right on the button. We can talk about what Manny Pacquiao or Hebry Armstrong did but there where reason those catch weights. Either meeting bigger fighters at a fair weight or to make super fights happen.
Canelo has now made a habit of fighting at 155lbs, I'm starting to doubt his believe in his boxing ability seeing that he has made a habit of fighting at a made up division and refuses to take up world class fighters his size. Catch weights weren't design for you just to camp out at.
This and many other incidents show why a boxing commitee is needed because letting boxers control the show has proven to be a disaster.Comment

I wouldn't even bother with that psycho Nay Sayer. Do you listen to Boxing Voice podcast? That idiot on there every other week sprouting conspiracy theories and non sense. He's one of the main reasons I cut back on listening to the show.you are obviously WAY too ****** to see the difference between a mandatory defense / unification between 2 champions in the SAME division, and an optional fight where 2 guys from different divisions meet in the middle.
And that doesnt even take into consideration that a 164 offer was NEVER made to Ward. It was a comment between Loeffler and Rafael, and NOT a fight offer.
But keep babbling your nonsense. Say it enough times and you might even end up believing it yourself......Comment

Doubt it.
Look at the way these boxing writers and his fans are praising the Khan fight.
They don't give a **** about GGG.
GGG and his team played themselves. They know full well, fighting Canelo means more than just getting the belt.
If they had a choice to either fight Canelo for no belt or win the belt of some jobber, which one are they picking?
I think we all know. Canelo owns them right and every time they make a comment like this, they further highlight it.Comment

why do ggg fan boys always have quotes and info that real hardcores never hear of?
all ggg and team has said is 160 and made fun of 155 while flopping on ppv...
stop making crap up...if canelo dont want him at 160 fine...he dont have to go to 155 nobody will ever call it a duck..but it is clear it is gGG's smartest career move since canelo pays so well and bc ggg is a so called small mwComment

I can't stand you fanboy ****s !!
Sanchez is stating that weight manipulation is disrespectful, you ignorant clown..... he is stating that it is disrespectful to the sport, and that it is disrespectful to your opponent.
Well what the fk does a catchweight have to do with a title you utter penis ?
It is fkn disrespectful to the sport and to your opponent, to attempt to disadvantage him on the scales..... PERIOD !!
Ignorant fanboy **** !Comment

And you are too fkn ****** to understand what the word respect means.
You are full of it.....
Andre Ward Must Go to 164 or No Fight.....
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to budge from his position that a potential fight with Andre Ward will only happen if Ward - the recognized champion at super middleweight - is wiling to meet them halfway at a catch-weight of 164-pounds. Golovkin and his team received more than their fair share of heat in recent days, after placing a catch-weight demand on a potential fight with Ward. The reason for the heat, is because Golovkin was willing to fight both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the full super middleweight limit.
We'd Fight Ward at 164, 50-50 Split.....
Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), says a fight can certainly be worked out with WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs). But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.
GGG would fight Ward on a 50-50 basis at 164.....

Losing patience with the guy that has fought Mayweather (at a catchweight for his title), Cotto, Lara and Trout by age 25?
Whether people like it or not, Canelo has earned his position as the top star attraction in boxing. Any fight Canelo has is a big fight, he's bigger than a belt and I'd prefer he drop the MW title as he doesn't need it.Comment
