LOL you can't be serious. Golovkin is mandatory to his belt in his division of course he's trying to fight.

I swear boxing fans are the worst fans in the world. I can't think of another sport that has more disgraceful and pathetic fans that literally would want the sport to decline even more just so their favorite fighter can make more money or avoid losing. On one hand its "but he's the A-side, he calls the shots! Look how many PPVs this guy has compared to this guy omg!!! Since he's the A-side he doesn't need to do anything cuz A-side rules!!!" On the other hand it's "go be great stop fighting bums bumville lol pwned!!!! 97k PPVs only lulz" forget actual rules and structure to the sport, catchweights are cool as long as it's the A-side making the demands, belts are worthless let's make it 100% prize fighting not an actual sport, but at the same time criticize the less popular guys for not getting the big fights.

I don't know which is worse the corrupt sanctioning bodies or the fans that defend this crap.

The biggest problem GGG's side has is no one is a good **** talker that can capture fans imagination about this 155 thing & force Canelo into taking a non-Caneloweight fight. Abel is a good trainer, but a moron who talks too much about non-trainer ****. Tommy L says equally dumb things when not just talking about the business of boxing which is where he excels & GGG barely speaks English & what he does say just sounds cute or unintentionally funny.

Bottom line for them is they will either need to concede the weight or they need to concede the fight will take place when GGG is a couple years older. GGG isn't gonna get an ideal situation here, agree or not with him deserving one. Thats just how it is & none of their **** talking or hype will change that.

You nailed it.

They are relying on 2 things.....

1) that Canelo will be pushed into fighting Golovkin at 160, out of fear of recrimination from his fanbase..... which I don't think will happen. Canelo SHOULD, and likely WILL, drop the belt..... and I have no problem at all with that.

And I don't think a majority of his fanbase will either.

Canelo will state 2 things..... that he will fight Golovkin at 155 TOMORROW..... or he will fight him down the line, when he moves to 160.

2)

a) that Golovkin's fans will consider his elevation to full WBC champ as a "win", and will forget that the "win" has no name attached to it and did not happen in the ring.....

b) that the WBC title (award), and subsequent successful/unsuccessful attempts to gain the other belts, will be enough to sustain Golovkin's current momentum in terms of drawing power, even if there are no big fights on the horizon

I get it..... and it is legit, other than beating Hopkins record for successful defences..... I just aint very impressed with it, is all.

That is certainly not what they promised.
