Will Wilder vacate?

Wilder's not vacating, the green belt gives him too much relevance. His silence is probably related to the negotiations.
After all, the $$$ is really in Russia I think...unless the fight is really, really promoted well here in the US. Where would they realistically sell out at, over here in America?
On a side note, I like the idea of a world-level titlist travelling far and wide defending his belt. If ya wanna be called world champion, hit the road jack and beat guys in their homes too. don't just make everyone come to youComment

The very definition of a paper titleWilder's not vacating, the green belt gives him too much relevance. His silence is probably related to the negotiations.

Where the belt means more than the fighterComment

Fury is holding that title, history is safe... whether you want to refer to his World Heavyweight Championship, or his WBA belt. No worries there (with the exception of Holmes who never held the WBA if I'm not mistaken).
It really makes me cringe when Wilder comes out with 'everyone wants the WBC, its the most prestigious belt' etc. Whats the logic, that it was held by great fighters? The fighters made that belt, and that needs to apply to him as well. I want to believe his desire to unify all of the belts and becoming the recognised champ etc, but its hard to accept if he's leaching onto supposed prestige of a belt that currently means nothing. Just my thoughts anywayComment
