He may beat the record that Hopkins had for IBF defenses but Hopkins unified and unless Golovkin gets the other champs to fight him, Hopkins accomplishments will remain untouched.

I don't doubt he breaks the record if he's not suckered to playing hop through hoops with weights.

This is going to look like Barry Bonds record but without PED's. Ggg might technically get the record but if he fights 21 tomato Cans well all know who the REAL record holder is....
So what current welterweight does GGG need to beat at 160 to get praise?

So when was GGG given the opportunity to unify?

Oscar and Tito didn't really do much at MW compared to other divisions they were in. Hopkins's MW reign isn't all that what you people make it out to be. Records are meant to be broken, quit being salty that it's a white boxer that's doing good things in boxing.

What he means is that on top of beating 2 blown up welterweights, GGG needs his Robert Allen and Echols for 5 fights.

                Canelo

                If not him then
Jacobs, LARA, Either Charlo twin, Andrade.

Wade is currently the 13th-15th best MW. Heck the IBF has him RANKED #3 and he's beat out by a VACANT #2 lol...

...simply put...this is not GGG's fault....the only knock against GGG is his opponent level.....those of us who know don't knock that....we know when a fighter is being ducked....and GGG is being ducked....

Opponent level is everything, Wins don't mean **** if they're against nobodies.

Where the Fk did that come from you jack@ss!!! I don't give a sht what color a boxer is. All I'm saying for being 34 years old GGG has a shty fkn resume. Canelo is 25 years old and blows his sht resume out of the water... I even rated him #1 with A+ grade!!! I blame his cheap @ss promotors more than anything!!! Sht he just RECENTLY started making 1 million a fight. And has paid most of the cans he fights around 500k-750k. That is not what a main event who has over a million viewers and sales out the place should be making. So WTF is all the $$$$$ going???
