like i said earlier when u did not listen "if i was povetkin i'd tell my ppl win the pusre bid and do not deal...bc u get a title without even figthing for it..and then u could fight low level top 15s for huge money in russia/germany"
Duva dropped the lawsuit and has been on record since then saying she has no problem working with Haymon or his fighters.

You seem to be very confused on your feelings about purse bids.

In one post here you said Povetkin was trying to use a purse bid to wriggle out of a fight, and now you are talking about Duva avoiding a fight by wriggling out of a purse bid!

Make your mind up, for Pete's sake.

i'm assessing situations..povetkin has battle secrets that wilder was likely not supposed to drop! and povetkin is swimmingi n money with proof unlike duva who claims to have russina backers but dropped the bid that al was willing to win or lose...

the night he said he wont go to russia if povetkin's team is smart they likely said all they had to do is play hard ball...u really think he fancies a damn purse bid for nothing? LOL HE WOULD GET 25% OF THE MONEY
just think if the bid is only 4 million..we'll see...i hope they make a deal..i know povetkin wouldnt cry if the belt was dropped and handed to him...who would?

          I don't get it.

DiBella says an offer has been made. We obviously don't know the details, but no one on the Russian side has disputed that Wilder's team has made the offer.

That puts the ball in Sasha's court. He can accept the offer and the fight is made. Instead, his side wants to go to purse bid, where with a 70-30 split he surely stands to make less money, or at least no more.

Povetkin needs to be the one to step up and say, 'F- it. We accept. Let's fight.' Wilder can't make him accept the offer. Sasha's the one not stepping up.

            I think you made a more-than-fair point.

The thought occurred to me as well.

And fighters often make more from a purse bid.

I could easily see Team Povetkin disagreeing on the location, or the split, or whatever..... to get themselves a huge advantage after winning the pb.

Good point, but I'm not sure if Povetkin would get paid less if they were to win a purse bid? His percentage would be smaller, sure.

How much did Ryabinsky bid for Klitschko ?

              Wasn't it 25mil or something ?

one would think povetkin would want to avoide a 25% split that the purse bid would give him...lol ppl wont do the research tho they'll just blame wilder and that is fine, but when u look at the crap that goes on in germany and russia..i wont blame him for not stepping one foot of there

I've read interesting article in The New York Times about mental health of fighters after his fight with Szpilka. Dont really remember the title but if someone is interested im sure if you type wilder you'll find it.
