    USA robs foreign boxers too...

I'm seeing posts defending Wilder for not wanting to go to Russia... And using the Sturm decision in Germany last night as a reason to buttress that mind set...

But have we forgotten Sturm v De La Hoya debacle? What about Alexander and Judah v Matthysse? Alexander c Kotelnik - should have been robbery of the year...

    The list goes on...

That's just part and parcel of the sport - the home boxer will just always have an advantage.

Can we name all the robberies that have apparently happened in Russia too I legitimately can not think of any.

Funnily Wilder fought in Russia as an amateur and actually got a very dubious decision in his favour.

Seems a weird excuse to me. America has a far deeper history of robbing fighters than Russia has.
I legitimately think Russia has to be up there with the fairest judging of any country.

It's not possible to compare them, considering Russia has only had a tiny fraction of the world title fights the USA has. Wilder should go to Russia if Haymon loses the purse bid, although I still think Haymon will work out a last minute deal for Povetkin to come to the USA.

Home champion is going to get the advantage regardless, though every situation is different. Germany in the past was probably the worst ever, but then again I've seen a lot of fights called a robbery (Strum-Murray) that weren't IMO.

100% agree. There are bad decisions everywhere. Thats just the reality. To hear some people talk about it you'd think if Algieri was Russian & fought Manny in Russia he'd have gotten a decision. I have seen no proof Russia is anymore sketchy with scoring than any other country.

I think the PED testing concerns with Russia might be more what people are talking about lately doe which seems a more valid concern.

no, no they did not. alexander was a flat out robbery to anyone with eyes and although judah moved around a lot he wasn't actually doing anything he just didn't get ko'd. thats not outboxing. lucas was the one still landing the punches therefore he deserved to win. sometimes you gotta explain things from the beginning but its the most effective way to teach.

Last time around Ryabinsky paid all that money to get it in Russia and still ended up with a ref who allowed excessive clinching from Wlad, so it seems like he isn't one to payoff officials or make sure they're from his guy's hometown.

I'm not getting into that "my country is better than your country" ****.

But if Team Povetkin wins the purse bid, Wilder needs to go to Russia and if he doesn't, you shouldn't be a fan of his because that is not how a WORLD champion should behave.
