Because boxing fans, and most of the people on here are nut hugging morons that don't care about anyone except the guy they love or more importantly, the guy they hate at the moment.. That's why every thread is Mayweather,Pac, and now GGG and Canelo....

I can't wait for the fight, it's gonna be a great matchup of prime guys in one of the best divisions in boxing...

Im hyped but I mean blame PBC... where the the TV specials? Where are the build up short docs? Where is the promo? I mean, I know Haymon is broke but come on. This fight is worth the media exposure and coverage.

Now the only time you hear people talk about the fight is

          1. Complaining it should've happened in December

What happened between December and now that makes the fight less appealing?

          2. Pointing out it's being branded as a Showtime fight

Who is putting on the fight somehow devalues it? I just watched a video of Steve Kim and company do a segment on PBC's money problems where they discussed the Porter-Thurman fight being branded as a Showtime on CBS show but they have no videos discussing the actual fight.

The same will happen with Wilder/Povetkin. Everybody is complaining and saying Wilder is ducking. Everybody is talking about the possible purse bid. As soon as the fight is announced they'll stop talking about it and then the narrative will change to "Why is there no hype surrounding the Povetkin-Wilder fight?"

If you people can't see there is a clear media agenda for PBC to fail you're blind.
          The real answer

People got tired of all the horse ****.
It was supposed to happen in December.

There hasn't been much trash talking and neither of them have kind of crazy rabid fanbase that makes for 60 page threads on here. The hype will probably (hopefully) increase closer to the time.

This fight is Showtime on CBS, not PBC.

Then whatever, the post still stands true. Replace PBC with whoever is in charge of promoting this.

The fight is in March and is between two challengers, one who maneged to hold a title and the other who is the definition of paper champ. This requires about a week of hype in all honesty lol

Having said that, it should be a good style clash, as Porter come to fight and Thurman will try to stay on the outside and box behind a jab. I'm looking forward to it but it's not one to be hyped about.
