Mayweather/Marquez. Mayweather was the aggressor all night long. He had Marquez backing up constantly, and Marquez couldn't barely hit him.
Mayweather/Cotto. Mayweather was right in front of Cotto all night long. In my eyes he fought Manny the exact same way minus punch output.
People expected action because they got fooled by both sides. Anyone who expected Floyd to throw flurries was fooling themselves. Anyone who expected Manny not to be timid after getting put to sleep by Marquez was fooling themselves. Manny was afraid of getting caught by Floyd's signature punch, Floyd was looking for Manny to jump in so he could catch him. They both played cat/mouse all night. That's why Floyd did little but jab, he was trying to get Manny to make a mistake.
No matter what, it's blasphemy to say that MayPac was less exciting than any of Grabomir's recent fights. Or Wilder's fights. Hell, Wilder's had back-to-back dullards since becoming champion.
