Manny-Pac was more disappointing because people expected action, at least from Manny. Wlad-Fury was always going to a dull fight. Wladimir 2.0 has never been involved in an entertaining fight. The Pulev fight was better than most because he literally stood there in the middle of the ring and let Wlad launch bombs on him. Wlad-Fury is what happens when two giant, defensibly minded boxers get in the ring.

Fury doesn't mind a tear up, but with so much at steak and Wladmir's brutal one punch power, he was never going to stand in front of him.

The Rigondeux vs Francisco was horrible. I was expecting a huge mismatch and the veteran going after Francisco. The reverse happened. It was like a cat chasing a horrified chicken. Funny part was the next few days or so we hear Quigg (was it Frampton?) talking about being ready for Rigo. (I guess Francisco gave them confidence and there's no reason why you would get intimidated by the boxing tactician.)

It was actually worse than the average Klitschko fight, which I didn't think was possible.

Barely any punches thrown, it was garbage.

If I had to choose between Klitschko/Povetkin and Fury/Klitschko, I'd take the first option in a heartbeat and that fight was garbage too.

Good point, this why sometimes I find it to be a chore to go back and watch old fights, even if I've seen and enjoyed them before.

There's something be said about the magic of live fights, can't be recreated.

It's not a fight I'd rewatch though, except for analysis purposes. Wlad really made it dull and Fury was too content outboxing him to open up that much.
                Agree with this 100%.

We will never forget how boring May/Pac was regardless of how many more boring fights after it there have been. Why? For the simple reason that it was supposed to be this generations "Fight of the Century" and it bombed. It will at least be remembered for a hundred years. Nothing round that. He had his chance to put on a good fight against Pacquiao but he had to protect his oh so precious 49-0 so went for a decision, then he had the chance to face a credible challenger and instead chose someone safe for his last fight. Oh, but he's 49-0...**** off with that **** already. Now he's making all this noise with his desperate sound bites online and in the press because he's realising no one remembers his boring-ass. What's there to remember? Your ****ty always winning by decision snoozefests? What did you leave us to remember you with and now you want attention. Go shove your 49-0 up your ****-supporting ass. ******.

Lol a HW fight for a title can be boring.

Any fight in any weight division can be boring.

Its "the HW title" & Klitschko has been the champion for a long ass time. Still doesn't change the fact the fight was garbage & is arguably the most boring HW title fight in quite some time, like decades, if not ever.

And one boring fight don't make Fury the most boring boxer in the world. Usually Fury has been fun to watch. This fight to me was about winning over all else. The stakes were the highest they've ever been for Fury. He brought his A just box smart, make zero mistakes game, which he hasn't always brought.
Agreed a boring fight is a boring fight

I've always been against May/Pac getting made and predicted a boring fight. But ******, idiotic fans kept demanding it. And now they're complaining. As if the previous boring running/clinching fests were not enough. It was basically asking to get ripped off. How can you reward such boring guy with $200 million? It's crazy!
