It's alright to be fighting Bradley, a welterweight who has only weighed in at 147 once (in 2010), and Matthysse a solid 140lber, but not Cotto who is unlikely to be able to even reach 147. That's a severe weight and size disadvantage, and we know Cotto can punch at 154, and we know that Ruslan uses his face to block punches..
Yes, all the advantages lie with Cotto, but that is the advantage of being the A side!

Ruslan has a great chin, big engine and power in both hands, Cotto doesn't like that recipe.
Cotto hits pretty hard as a Jr middleweight
Matthysse hits hard as a Jr welterweight

Proportionately, i'd go with Matthysse, but on size alone i'd argue Cotto. How would you justify that Matthysse hits harder?

Cotto took Canelo's big punches pretty well, and he usually weighs more than 170 come fight night. I don't really know if Ruslan's power is going to bother him so much, especially if Ruslan is so easily outboxed. Marquez/Provodnikov is more intriguing to me

Cotto has more size true, but I'm not sure. P4P Matthysse hits harder (irrelevant but just throwing it out there) I'm still unsure who hits harder even still.

Cotto's older also, he's at the end of his career. He took Canelo's shots well but Canelp was sharp shooting, Ruslan will put him under pressure which he hates, I'm not sure how well Cotto would take his shots down the stretch. Cotto would box circles around him early but I don't see his power troubling Ruslan and when Cotto faded and Ruslan gets stronger I think things get interesting there.

I mean, they can't be too far apart in weight on fight night.
