Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Canelo 155 Demand is Crazy! He is Champion at 160!

WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) is very confused with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's position of demanding a catch-weight of 155-pounds for a potential fall showdown.

He's gonna have to give in this one I think, otherwise Cashcow Canelo won't take the fight, no big money and GGG would be stuck with another bum.

either GGG takes 155 or there won't be a fight.

Some of you are missing the point here. GGG is looking at being the undisputed middleweight champ, with or without a Canelo fight. He doesn't have to fight him. The only one who loses is Canelo whether in a fight with GGG, at the negotiating table with his ****** 155 lb fairy tale weight class or with his fans. GGG's stock will only continue climbing while Canelo's will plummet should he not fight GGG for sticking to his 155 lb. demand.

Lil G needs to be sensible and accept the fight at 155lbs with Canelo. Who else is at Middleweight that would bring anywhere close to the amount of money or exposure a Canelo fight will? Quillin, Saunders, Lee, Jacobs c'mon none of those fights are PPV worthy. Lil G needs to understand that at 34 yrs old his prime is winding down and he needs a big name on his resume more than another belt. Fact is Canelo doesn't need Lil G or the WBC title to make millions, his Mexican fanbase will support him with or without the belt.

Canelo will cave or be forever viewed as having ducked Golovkin. That won't fly with his recent desire to be known as willing to fight the best. He does want to exploit his last moments of championship level boxing, so maybe he will back out for health reasons. Future health reasons.

Golovkin will be the biggest fight by far for Canelo... IF he takes it. At this point he's just starting to sound scared. The very best JMW + 1 lb is a small bunch, I'd assess the 155 lb weight class as "MW Except I'm Scared Of Any Real MW With Power Call Me Canelo" class. LMAO at him fighting Khan, who he's fighting because he's realized even Rosado would ruin him. And Khan is better than anyone he's fought so far.

Lil G fans truly are sad... Get one thing straight Canelo fans will not disown him if he chooses not to fight Lil G. Boxing is a business first and foremost, Lil G doesn't brings enough reward to the table for Canelo. Did any of you disown your idol Lil G after he ducked Ward?

B*ll****, Lil G couldn't even sell 100k PPV. The biggest fight for Canelo is Manny that fight would definitely do over 1 million PPV buys from Mexican and Filipinos alone. I hate to break it to you but Lil g is the biggest bull****ter in the game today he calls out anyone from 154-168 then when Lara and Ward answer his challenge he runs for the hills what a p*ssy. At least Canelo had balls enough to fight Lara unlike Lil G who chooses to ignore his existence.
