He got away with the Khan fight which as now been widely accepted, despite it being a farce in all honesty. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that he could get away with not fighting Golovkin and have his reputation unharmed to the general public.

The posters on this forum have to keep in mind that we are insignificant in the boxing world, we aren't the ones that fill up the fighter's pockets. Fighters have dropped belts before to avoid fighters, I never heard of it ruining anyone's career.

The right thing for him to do is fight GGG at 160 but don't kid yourselves into thinking he will be forced or backed into a corner to do so because of the "fans".

GGG can choose to stand his ground and not bend over for a check. And I'm sure he'll get plenty of amens from the chior for "standing up fpr what's right." But he needs to remember, not nann muf.ucka that's applauding him is gonna pay a sinlge one of his bills. So he needs to sit down, and really think this one through. Because he's getting up in age. And he may not have many more opportunities at a payday the likes of which Canelo will provide.

Contrary to popular belief, there is more to life than money.

Anyway, he's already a multi-millionaire. With smart investments you can retire on a few mil.

I agree with scenario # 1. Oscar made Bernard go to 157, and I believe that fight is a historical precedent to this fight. I hope GGG accepts the challenge, and we get the fight we all want to see.

yeah because rep means something in this forum lol dumbass. this form is full of **** like you who are new to boxing but will claim you have been watching for decades.

so why is GGG wanting a 164 catchweight with ward? catchweight for pac and GGG are cool but for canelo its not, i see, and you guys claim your the experts lol fa990ts.

pac should have never went to margaritos division if he cant fight in that division.

its funny how you guys justify pacs catchweights or cottos but canelo cant do it.

GGG can ask for catchweights against ward but no one can ask GGG for one lol.

and you guys claim you guys know a lot because you guys give each other ****** little positive reps. let me know when the boxing hall of fame inducts you fa99s here for having a lot of green points.

go back to your "ducking ducking ducking ducking ducking" statements.

oh its a duck, its a clear duck. he is ducking, oh gosh, a duck, if it walks like a duck then its a duck. ducking ducking.

look at me im a boxingscene member because i say ducking ducking. thats what you b1tches honestly sound like hahahaah.

green rep me *****es for i can win a hall of fame award and when i give my speech i can thank all the ducking boys.

I honestly think he doesn't need canelo as much as you guys think. If he fights canelo he'll probably get around 10-15 mil for one fight. It's not he's starving at 3-4 mil a fight...

If he unify the division he'll probably have a bigger fan base and probably be the second biggest draw in boxing and that fight with canelo later down the road will be a much bigger event like Pac Floyd.

                Canelo is a 3:1 favorite
Ggg is a 18:1 favorite! Against Peter Wade. Who KNOW one has heard of EVER. GTFO of here with that BS farce talk...

I'm getting the feeling that Oscar is going to open his check book and make the Golovkin problem go away either by going after belts at 154 for Canelo or by dropping some serious paper to make Golovkin step aside.

Canelo will face GGG, its going to be about when? They have to collide sometime.
There isnt enough top computition for them both to run 160. Even at 168 things are getting weaker. I like GGG but i truly think his big fights come down to ward, froch, Canelo. Thats about it for big name fights. Chavez jr had a shot but got to fat and lazy but would have lost either way.
