Duran was savage in those lighter divisions yeah I can totally see why people think he would lose to him.
Why do blacks get all butt hurt when I say Roberto Duran would beat Floyd Mayweather?

3Duran was faster than Floyd in terms of moving his body into position, he was also faster at throwing combo's. Floyd is faster at throwing single shots and more accurate than Duran.
In terms of reactions- Have you even watched prime Duran? His reactions were off the scale.
Duran is the GOAT at Faints, it's not even close?
Integrating offence and defence is another Duran trait that no one betters him at.
Parrying punches and negotiating space inside. Floyd is good but Duran is a black belt at this. Floyd only wishes he could pull that off as good as Duran.
Boxing is multi dimensional. There's more to Speed, Power and reactions than you obviously think.
Combo punching > Duran easily.
Footwork > Floyd on the outside, Duran on the inside.
IQ > Duran is better than Floyd at some things and vice versa.
Accuracy > Floyd because he only throws when he knows he's going to land and not get hit back. He is a genius at this.
In terms of how a fight between them would pan out in their prime's. Floyd could tag Duran with his intelligant counters but he would be met with a sneer of contempt and a reply of multiple combinations up and down. Floyd would be way out of his comfort zone vs Roberto and would be on the defensive from round one .
Duran tested his skills against much tougher opposition and in their prime when he was past his and he still held his own apart from Hearns who is a totally different animal to Floyd Mayweather. An absolute monster of a man with great rangy boxing skills. The much smaller Duran had no chance even if he was in shape vs Hearns.Last edited by DJ Enerate; 02-14-2016, 10:05 AM.Comment

It's easy to say Mayweather would lose to a boxer who's been retired for decades now. We have no way of knowing. Mayweather was undefeated for a reason. Duran lost for a reason. However, I'm sure it's just in my DNA to have this opinion.Comment

Duran lost because he dared to be great by fighting absolute monsters while he was past his best.
Would old ass Floyd have beat prime Hagler, Leonard or Hearns? Even Benitez who was a master boxer with a punch.Comment

Durans only advantage over Floyd is punching power. Floyd is superior to him in every other department:Height, length, hand speed, foot speed, discipline, and defense.Comment

Hell Floyd couldn't even beat Castillo or Madaina his rematch with Madaina with a competent judge would have deducted so much points for holding that he probably would have any points left on the score card. But just to let you know they get butt hurt about everything even when people call ***** the worst President ever when the facts speak for themselves their butt hurt even though they have a 50% unemployment rate among themIn a fantasy match Obviously. There is versions of Duran Floyd could beat. Unfit prime Duran and old fat Duran.
Prime Duran beats any version of Floyd. Lightweight to light Welter Duran absolutely destroys Floyd. Hagler, Moore versions of Duran ****s up the Floyd who ran from a plodding ginger Mexican.
Floyd Mayweather is one of the most overrated Slickster I have ever seen. Duran had a slicker defence because his was employed integrated with his offence, which is much much harder to pull off.Comment

What Duran displays is a blend of offence and defence. You can't really separate those two attributes when it comes to Duran because he blended them together to compliment each other. Duran is the most complete fighter we have on film.Comment

I agree with you about the undisciplined part. But I think Floyd is the more complete fighter.Comment
