Prime Duran beats any version of Floyd. Lightweight to light Welter Duran absolutely destroys Floyd. Hagler, Moore versions of Duran ****s up the Floyd who ran from a plodding ginger Mexican.

Floyd Mayweather is one of the most overrated Slickster I have ever seen. Duran had a slicker defence because his was employed integrated with his offence, which is much much harder to pull off.
    Nice theory. Amusing too.

Durans a great fighter but too undisciplined. Plus he gets no pass from me for quiting against Leonard. I think Duran at LW could possibly beat Floyd but a prime WW Floyd toys with Duran in my opinion.

Durans most undisciplined years are at Welter so Floyd has the edge at that weight. If Duran turns up focused and in shape no version of Floyd beats him. Duran was just better.

I think this is the worst title a thread like that could possibly have, plus the thread itself shouldn't have existed i nthe first place considering the fact that there are at least 20 other threads about the exact same topic.

Apparently you're a casual fan and that's ok, but if you're an educated boing fan you'd know that fantasy matchups don't make any sense because the game has changed so much from the later 70s early 80 to 2005-2010, I'll just give you one example, you tell me one fighter that got caught taking PEDs in the 80s and I'll tell you 10 that got caught in the last 2-3 years, and I'm not talking about bums either, I'm talking about famous fighters that actually make money for the comissions that caught them.

PED testing was almost non existent in the 70s and 80s, in the last 15 years we've seen very famous fighters get caught like Holyfield, Roy Jones, James Toney, Shane Mosley and the list goes on and on. That's just one aspect that has changed over the years there are a lot of other aspects that also changed, educate yourself before you start meaningless race baiting hate filled threads about retired fighters, and please next time you wanna do a fantasy match thread involving retired fighters you shouldn't do it here, you should do it at the boxing history section where hopefully nobody is gonna waste his time reading them.

How can we live in the 21st century and still have cretins calling black people "blacks"?

I'm not a "black", I'm a white Irish guy. What makes me think you are complete **** is that you say it like it's a forgone conclusion. First you gladly ignore that the guys agreeing with you are Floyd haters. Duran was class, yes but he got beat and dropped by Esteban De Jesus at lightweight. Floyd would beat him. At WW I think it's closer but ....now pay attention here because this is the important part ...That's IMO(that means In My Opinion in case you didn't know )

But I don't see any black here getting butthurt...Isn't the real question is why do you get angry when people say Floyd would beat Duran?

What was he just better at ? Faster? No! Better Movement? No! Better reactions? No! Better Jab? Right Hand? (please don't make me laugh)

I'll give you power and a comparable defence, anything else are the fantasies of fanboys.

But Floyd's best win is over smaller sized PAC coming off ko loss to jmm. So Floyd hasn't given anyone a reason why he would beat a peak Duran. I advise Floyd to come out of retirement sand pummel GGG at 160. That way people wouldn't underestimate Floyd historically. It don't matter that food lost to Castillo and maidana he beat GGG! So the 2 losses were off nights obviously
Floyd would also need to have a Bayless type ref to stop Duran from roughing his pretty azz up. 25 foot ring, etc... You get my drift.
