Saul 'Canelo Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) vs. Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) is the most anticipated fight of 2016.

Golovkin, who has the IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight titles, is the mandatory challenger to Canelo's WBC championship.

The World Boxing Council has ordered the two of them to face each other in the fall. Both have interim bouts already scheduled.

Sanchez really isn't that smart is he.. Or Atleast his boxing knowledge doesn't seem to be one that should be training a monster in Golovkin.

Cotto was on his bycicle all night and the only round he tried to trade with ginger (round 8th) he was getting wrecked

Cotto would have left the ring on a stretcher if he tried to go toe to toe with the irishman

Cotto does not have the best chin and he took Canelo's punches very well, considering Canelo was also a light heavyweight that night. I think Golovkin will walk through anything Canelo lands.

Canelo hurt him on a number of occasions. But no he would not hurt ggg. Ggg by knockout

So now Cotto was running reason Canelo didn't finish him..lol..so Canelo didn't land nothing clean?..Canelos power is overrated period. .and still can't cut da ring off yet. .Canelo vs GGG will be 3G vs Lemiuex all over again..probably worst for Canelo. .y'all expect all Canelo smaller opponents to stay stationary like a punching bag so Mr 155 can look great...however 3G will stay stationary in front of Canelo. .3G not a smaller fighter Canelo is uses to facing..Canelo gonna get da Chávez jr treatment vs GGG. .

              It hardly means anything honestly.

Bradley TKO'd Rios. He also got badly hurt against Jessie Vargas.

              Martinez dropped Guerrero.

              Broner dropped Porter.

Khan almost took out Maidana in the first round.

Just a trainer pumping his guy up like he should be. Nothing more, nothing less.

Guys get dropped/KO'd all the time by people with "no power"

Canelo had Cotto shook plenty of times during the match, mostly from single punches that he never followed up, like I said, Cotto was on rabid bycicle mode all night, he moved more than in any other match before, clearly afraid of ginger's power.

Cotto tried to stand his ground in the 8th round, traded blows, got totally outclassed and wobbly and never tried to do it again. and yeah, Cotto was close to getting dropped in that round and that round alone proves Canelo would have KHTFO if Cotto wasn't on his running shoes all night.

That been said, Cotto's not exactly the sturdiest guy in boxing. GGG on the other hand, has a bonafide iron chin and way more power, Canelo will be on the losing side if he goes toe to toe, ginger is definetly a big underdog here, because I dont see how he can keep GGG off him.

Canelo can box then. He has the skill to box. He made Trout look silly imo. He'll box circles around Golovkin.
