i'll repeat again...not all mws are 155lbers. I can name one, like ggg, or i can name all the other middleweights out there...jacobs, saunders, lemieux, etc..not a single one of them is demanding a mw fight at 155. Therefore, they are not 155lbers.

For the record, i wish ggg had fought ward - i just feel, unlike you, that he wasn't obligated to do so. And any unbiased follower of boxing would acknowledge that ward didn't put forth much of an effort to make the fight happen. I also hope ggg will drop 2 or 3 pounds and make the fight with canelo happen even though on principle he shouldn't. My attachment isn't to ggg or any particular fighter, it's to facts and reason. The closest that Canelo ever got was 155, against a guy who weighed 153.

Golovkin on the other hand, he called out just about every super-middleweight on the planet..... Froch, Chavez, Degale, Jack, Hopkins, even Chudinov..... ALL at 168...... and yet when it came to Ward, 164.

Okay then..what JMW in the history of that division weighed 155 consistently? The answer is ZERO. So, by logic, if Canelo is not a JMW and falls within the MW limit of 160 he IS a middleweight. Maybe the smallest MW in recent history. Maybe not if you go back to the pre 60s divisions when there was no junior middle/super welter. If he doesn't want to stick to the rules of the WBC, he needs to vacate -- I have no problem if he feels he's not ready for GGG.

Yet again you bring up Ward. And, yet again people like you are all bent about GGG's team bringing up Ward because yet again boxing fans/journalists are ASKING Sanchez and Loeffler about Ward. And, yet again, they are saying the EXACT SAME THING they've been saying for the past 2 years about Ward -- to make the fight happen Ward needs to get back to work. As I said before, 164 was never an offer and as Loeffler's confirmed it was never really even a serious discussion.

My expectations are for GGG to clean out and unify the MW division over the next year and a half before moving up where he will be a small SMW. And I guarantee you that if he win's a belt at SMW, he won't be draining contenders down to 164 just because he can get there.

So far Cenelo's terms are 155 with a 90/10 split. You'd be good with that if you were GGG? You'd put up your WBA and IBF belts under those terms? Golovkin's only leverage is the WBC mandate. If he IS willing to meet at a catchweight, he's not going to admit it or cave months before negotiations even begin. Common sense. Just admit that you hate GGG and his fans and want to see him go into a fight with Canelo or Ward as compromised as possible.
