There was never a catchweight 164 offer to Ward. GGG's team threw it out as a big FU to him because they felt he didn't deserve the fight. They knew it'd be DOA just as Ward and RocN knew his lousy offer to GGG for a one year commitment to meet at 168 and 50/50 after Golovkin had just signed on for Lemieux was DOA. But they got to run to the press and talk about those emails no ones ever asked to see!!!When Ward was fighting at 168, he was in the same division at Golovkin for the following reasons.....
1) Golovkin said this..... " anyone from 154-168 ".
2) Golovkin was willing to fight Chavez at 168
3) Golovkin was willing to fight Froch at 168
4) Golovkin was willing to fight Degale at 168
5) Golovkin was even willing to fight OLD MAN Hopkins at 168
That is how Ward was in the same division as Ducklovkin.
Chill kid, Ward has moved on to BIGGER and BETTER things.

Ward's had one fight against a side of beef at 172 in the last 2 YEARS. In fact, Ward hasn't seen 168 in well over 2 years now. So, exactly how much of a weight advantage does your boy Ward need to compete with GGG then? 10lbs? 15lbs?Comment

It's easy saying that he can with with good gameplan but that qoute "everyone has a plan until they get hit" was made for guys like Golovkin.
I just don't think Canelo has ring IQ and technical ability to deal with the kind of pressure Golovkin brings. I don't think it's a case of outboxing GGG or fighting with him, it would need some super intelligent fighter in the ring to be able to handle that pressure he brings.
Floyd if he was a little bigger could. Hopkins if he was bit young maybe could. Possibly Ward depending how he is now could fight very smart and just make it an ugly fight inside, he's smart enough to nullify what Golovkin does and probably spoil the fight.
Apart from that, i don't see anyone with the IQ that can deal with him.Comment

Agreed. Also, Golovkin is clearly not going to be making a permanent move up to SMW in the near future. Any fight there would have been and will be a one shot deal. That means he's not going to be adding too much lean muscle because he knows he'll have to go back down to MW. So, he'd basically have a sizable weight handicap in the ring with any SMW. The idea that he OWES anyone a fight at 168 is ******. Ward's inactivity simply killed any possibility of a fight. Andre needed to get in the ring to build the fight and he did next to nothing for two years. In the meantime, GGG's knocked out 10 opponents and has been filling arenas on both coasts. By the time Ward finally decides to send HIS terms the GGG train had left the station.Ward at 164 was bull****..but Ward did say no to a 3G fight at 168 few yrs back doe..da other guys u mention those are ppv fights at da time..Ward vs GGG isn't a ppv right..it's da better fight..just isn't ppv bc it won't generate da kind of $ fighters will want...Hopkins vs GGG is all talk.. just like wen Ward said he fight Floyd at 160..all talk ..can't take every comment fighters make as an actual contract..ppl just want to uses every comment to win an discussion..so Ward can make 160 for floyd but can't make 164 for 3G. .or 3G can make 154 for Floyd but can'tdo 155 for Canelo..164/155 is bull****..but Ward/3G not same division. .Canelo/3G are same division..so da makes 155 worst..Canelo fighting khan bc he couldn't find a MW to fight him at his bull**** weight of 155..and he need to look good ..so just keep fighting small guys .fans will still watch him so he does it..if 3G vs Ward would had happened at 164 I trash him too.Comment

Great post..imo Lara can give him a run..even more if his inside game gets better b4 they fight....Kovalev is also one of those guys..It's easy saying that he can with with good gameplan but that qoute "everyone has a plan until they get hit" was made for guys like Golovkin.

Lara can make it competitive because of his superior mobility coupled with fabulous skills; but he's too risk-averse to stay in the pocket or sufficiently elevate his inside game to keep GGG honest for the entire fight. Eventually Gennady will tag him at long range and send him through the ropes.
Krusher, on the other hand, can keep the fight on the outside, and end it that way also.Comment

Technically the Middleweight division is up to 160. Nicholas Walters can fight for the crown. Catch weights have always been around - especially for fighters from different divisions. This, though, is something new: where the belt holder of a division, fighting another person in the same division, and asking for a catch-weight.that's right its between 155 and 160 so golovkin can weight 160 ..... So sit your pro biased mayweather and anyone related to haymons ass down and accept that your ginger hair mong is running for his life away from golovkin ......u know zero so it's better to say nothing you useless mongchat and accept canelo will lose hie title if he don't fight his 160 mandatory
Why are you defending this behaviour? The best fighters should fight and this ***** needs to stop.Comment

Excuse me ? Where in my comment am I defending canelo fighting 155 ....you need to look at the conversation before to know what this comment was about lunatic lol...some idiot was saying yeah canelo is 155 and he should be allowed to fight at 155 ....I said he can weigh what he wants and golovkin can be 160 if he wants....in future please read the full comments regarding this because obviously u have missed the boat....I am one of the true defenders of it being 160.....go over my history and you would see it......no such thing as a catch weight with 2 fighters in the same division ...it's ridiculousTechnically the Middleweight division is up to 160. He's not defending it, you're on the same page. You're right, this is a chicken**** recent trend with lineage asTechnically the Middleweight division is up to 160. 1. Cotto vs Marg 2
2. Floyd vs Canelo unification
3. Cotto MW stint
4. Canelo at 155
This last one is the sorriest, I bet most feeble of all time. None of the others demanded a lowest possible CW, none of them outweighed the challenger fight night. Those guys were legit smallerComment

read above lol ...a middlweight can can way 155 or anything up to 160.... There's no rule saying you have to weigh 160 in a middleweight title fight....you can weigh in between 154.1 and 160 but when you defend it the challenger can weigh 160..... I hope we're on the same page now lolHow's it biased about a wanting a middlweight to fight a middleweight in the middleweight division which is between 154.1 and 160 ? That's been that weight for 150 years so why has it got to change just a for Mexican kid .....it wouldbnt matter if it wasn't golovkn.....if it was hagler,Hopkins,Jones or whoever has nothing to do with colour or race mongchat.....I grew up with weight divisions and boxed in divisions so for me it's boxing....so shut your young biased a$$ and accept that if canelo don't fight his mandatory in September he gets stripped .....period... now f@ck off back under that troll bridge where you normally hide.
