Senseless
Jeremy Williams had a real glass jaw, but Tommy did not. Actually, even after all those punches from Mercer, he was on his hands and knees and still conscious, he was not lying on his back asleep. He was knocked senseless, but not unconscious. How many fighters could have taken that dreadfull assault and still be conscious at the end of it?

It won't let me give you karma so I'll give you some points instead! That was an awesome shot, and I still can't believe that Ruddock got up so fast, let alone at all from that shot.
You are now officially a boxingscene billionare!

Tommy was an outstanding offensive fighter with one of the best left hooks and over hand rights in the business. However his defense was putrid as was his stamina (probably from all the partying) and his chin was questionable. The only reason it was a questionable chin was because of his non existant defense. If he knew how to defend himself properly he would not have gotten hit flush on it as much as he did. He was a wasted talent because of his immature ways outside of the ring and his lack of a good cornerman who could teach him how to defend properly.Comment

Exactly, and that's where the myth of his "glass jaw" comes from. The circulation of that one clip. Every other KD of his career was basically a flash KD...he got right up. Mills stopped the Lennox fight, and the Bennt fight was stopped bc of the 3 KD rule, but he got up off the canvas to beat Williams and Ruddock, taking punches the whole way. That's not a "glass jaw." Sorry.Originally posted by LpurchaseWhere the **** was the ref there?!?!Comment

Lennox Lewis's jaw was a questionable one but the difference was on most occasions he knew how to properly defend himself so his chin was not as exposed as Morrison's was. I have said it on a few occasions, if Lewis fought Corrie Sanders, I believe Corrie would have KO'd Lewis. If Lewis got hit with as many of Sander's shots as Wlad did Lewis's career would have been finished. BUT!!! If Sanders would have hit Lewis with just ONE of those shots he landed on Wlad no ****ing way does Lewis rise up three time's like Wlad did so getting hit with that many shot's would not have even been an issue.Comment
