Nobody dominated the 90's like @RealRoyJonesJr. The IBO would like to wish Roy all the best on his retirement from a sport he helped define.

i dont see nobody in ANY era who i could put against him confidently.
Sugar Ray Robinson was just too small, hagler wasnt fleet footed enough he already showed what he could do to MY Fav fighter of the last two generations B Hop. James Toney and the ONLY knock against Jones is that he didnt have alot of "NAMES" on his resume but **** WHO WAS THERE THAT HAD A NAME FROM 154-175 who he didnt fight that had a NAME that was considered "GREAT"? nobody its not his fault he was a victim of bein TOO good in an era of above average to average fighters but he DOMINATED them like he was supposed too and he also foguth two future FIRST BALLOT HOF'ers and beat them EASILY there is NO comparison around the weight classes he reigned atComment

i still have Roy Jones beating tarver the first fight when he came back down from HEAVYWEIGHT 7-5 he lost almost 30lbs to come back down and STILL beat tarver but he shouldve retired after that if he wouldve retired after that nobody could say that he wasnt p4p top 5 EVERComment

If true... I will be one happy man. Not because of losing a great fighter but because the man deserves rest. Jones will always go down as my favorite boxer of all time(next to Dempsey, but reason being he was a friend of the family). A give Jones all the credit for getting me in the gym and getting me to love the sport.
Jones is a once and a life time fighter... It was a blessing to watch this man put on gloves. Their are so many great memories of Jones and they can't be counted on your hands. The man was a superhero, superman, unbeatable, a legend and an inspiration. His achievements will never be seen again and I'm damn lucky to have been alive to see him make history.Comment
