Chavez Sr has been pissed off with his son many times, but Jr just goes his own way.

The old school Mexican boxing people will hate the way Canelo is behaving now.

If he beats Khan then ducks GGG his name will be mud in their mouths.

But what about the new generation, especially those born and raised in the US?

Maybe they have the same attitude to the sport as do so many American fans - that money and "A side" celebrity status are more important than anything else.

If so, boxing will soon be in as bad a state in Mexico as it is in the States.

"I only watch the top guys in boxing, the ones who get paid like, millions & millions of $ every fight"

            After the latest cherry pick:

"Meh ... boxing is shit. If that's what the best fights are like, just imagine how bad the others must be. Gotta watch UFC if you wanna see a good fight these days."

              Sr is right.

I thought same thing. But I've grilled the WBC about the mandatory and CW a few times, and they act like they don't understand.

Are you really going to trash Chavez Sr. because he said something you dislike. Come on now.
chavez is a legend no doubt but him saying this about canelo after his son fought a 154 pounder at light heavyweight in brian vera at 170 lbs is the pot calling the kettle black

It was a ****ty move, but his son is a grown man and his actions don't invalidate Chavez's opinion. Canelo picked an easy money fight, simple as that. He doesn't want to fight the real #1 MW, so he's having a Welterweight move up to 155.
it is definitely a big money fight but after fighting cotto, kirkland, lara, in his last three fights its not like hes been fighting low level opposition. lets see what happens in sept.
