If Hopkins takes the GGG fight as his last one, only Pacquiao, Duran and Ali.....

could be said to have similar levels of opposition through their career.

And of those, Bernard probably has the hardest opposition in my view. To finish your career fighting Kovalev and then Golovkin at 50+ years of age is damn near suicidal. But that's why we love him and why he's the alien.

Bernard Hopkins, along with the guys I've mentioned, is the definition of legend. I will be sad to see him go, but God damn has he earned a rest lol I hope he enjoys his retirement and has a great time spending his money and spending time with his family. It will be emotional to see him hang them up tbh.

    Pure Legend.

You don't have to love him, you don't have to hate him, but you have to respect the old bastard.

    Hopkins is a G.

I legit laughed, get out of here with that.... There are many worthy names you could have chosen along side Duran and Ali.

That's what I meant, as good as Pacquaio's resume is.... he is clearly a tier below those 2 guys, not to mention both Ali and Duran took on younger guys that were meant to beat them and pulled through. You're a Pacster so I get it but no, just no. You could have Put Foreman in there instead, he's another guy that fought so many guys from different eras (like Hopkins).

Golovkin is a Middleweight. Hopkins is a light heavyweight.

what's impressive about fighting a guy 2 weight classes smaller than you?

tito and oscar were blown up welterweights

Winky and pavlik were middleweights who he brought up to light heavyweight.

              Hopkins cherry picked Orelnas,jones rematch,murat,shumenov.

              Tarver and Pascal legit victories.

he lost to dawson, taylor,Prime roy, kovalev because he didn't have any advantages

Hopkins doesn't get a seat at the ali table

Never said it wasn't good but he doesn't get a seat at that table, The Morales trilogy was meant to be one fight with a definitive win, he was clearly way past it in the following 2 fights they had, what was the point of the third?.... didn't Morales get completely outboxed by that Raheem guy before the second fight, that was evidence he was not the same guy anymore.

Bradley x3?? Why is this even a trilogy?.... Are we going to pretend that the first 2 fights weren't close.
