    Unquestionably No.1.

I'd think it was hard to argue he wasn't #1 if he beat Ward and assuming Ward gets by Barrera impressively.

Ward hasnt done anything relevant in years. He has done nothing in the LHW division. Yet so many regard him as the best fighter in the world. So I suppose many would say kovalev would then be the best #1. Or they would say Ward was rusty, too small, jesus was busy that night, etc etc

If Ward clearly beats Barrera first then to me Krusher/Ward winner is clear no1.

Aka Ward gonna be the number one real soon.

If Kovalev beats Ward, he's No.1, if Ward beats Kov, he's No.1. This a fight for P4P Supremacy. Boxing's in a weird place right now where I don't think there's any fighter that can say that they're the Number 1 guy. There isn't anyone in boxing beating elite, championship level competition back to back to back to back the way Manny and Floyd have for so long. This fight would put boxing's current landscape into perspective and could restore some order. Right now we just have a bunch of guys tied for the #2/#3 spot. Until someone breaks out and beats champ after champ after champ, we're going to be stuck as a sport as it relates to P4P lists, in my opinion.

If Kovalev wins he should actually drop down a spot in P4P rankings. Here are some of the examples i've read on NSB why:

                1. Ward is a bum
                2. Ward cheats to win
                3. Ward has done nothing since the super 6 and picks on little guys
                4. He a diva doe

I have him #1 now. Given you can't go higher than #1, I would say he should earn the Fighter of the Year Award, and JDJ gets Trainer of the Year, I would also say Win of the Year.

If Kovalev beats Ward, to me at least, that would be substantial evidence that Kovalev can beat anyone of any style from 160 to 175. If Ward beats Kovalev, likewise for him. The winner of this fight would pretty much be the king of boxing IMO.
