Khan probably did take Algieri lightly, but that's still no excuse especially when you're fighting at the level Khan is. And maybe Algieri is better than he is given credit for.

That should have been a showcase fight for him to prove his case that he deserves a Mayweather or Pacquiao fight. And he barely escaped with a win.

      That fight was a draw.

Anyway, unmotivated or not, a feather fisted Algieri actually stunned Khan a few times. I hope for Khan's sake moving up in weight improves his punch resistance or this Canelo fight will end badly.

Algeiri is probably better than some people give him credit for but any really good fighter should have dealt with him easily.

He is always either drained or not motivated when he looks like **** which is most of the time

          Ridiculous.

He believed he was on the cusp of Mayweather before that fight a dominant performance only would have got him closer to it.

Part of being the pound for pound great boxer Khan is claiming to be is to get yourself motivated for every fight. You must fight every fight to the best of your ability and give every fight a 100% effort. Saying you weren't motivated is a bad excuse for fighting a poor fight. Mayweather is always fully motivated and trained to perfection for every fight regardless of how good the opponent is or isn't. Canelo also trains and fights his hardest for every fight, big or small. Khan will be fighting the best possible Canelo who will be going all out for an impressive early round knock out.

Khan doesn't want to face reality, that he's a B-level fighter at best.

being the underdog, its natural to want to root for him against canelo but he really turns people off.

I hope Khan isn't trying to upstage Floyd by trying to beat Canelo like him

The Algieri fight would make sense then, trying to beat him better than Manny did. Yet it came out as an either-way fight

I wouldn't put it past him

Khan fanatics come up with all kinds of ridiculous excuses for every one of his loses or bad outings.
