Khan needs to only throw the jab, and occasional 1-2

Nothing more than that, he must fight on the back foot, moving constantly, Canelo is slow of foot and can't cut off the ring.

If Khan throws any more than a 1-2 combo he will be in front of canelo too long and will be ko'd

Yeah that should get him a decision in a Vegas Pro Canelo crowd - Man my boy Khan is going Ham! coming in 175, throwing elbows and headbutts all night long! Body-Head.... styling!

Watch the Lara fight and then stick that analysis up yer arse. Canelo certainly knows how to not only cut off a ring now but he's throwing hooks while the opponent changes angles, which is HUGE. I'm not a Nelo fanboy but there is no simple plan for Khan. None of his strengths play to Canelo's weaknesses.

I think he might be able to pull it off, but he has to box his ass off. Cant get caught clean on that glass jaw and needs to beat canelo convincingly not to leave it to the judges. lol cant wait to see wtf happens.

Hunter has been trying to get him to do that, cut down the 4/5 punch combos and stick to 1/2s much more. Even though early in his career it was his combos and speed which were touted as his main assets, he'll probably keep them to a minimum in this fight because he understands at this point that those crazy combos leave him open and he can't remain in the danger zone with Canelo for a split second more than he should. Would be in his best interest to primarily pot-shot for most of the fight, similar to Floyd.

It's something Khan is definitely capable of doing but he said a few times that he gets bored just pot-shotting all nigh, has a compulsion to occasionally engage and brawl to make things exciting. That's a no no with Saul. You brawl with Saul you fall.

Haha love that last line, so true aswell no staying in the pocket with canelo, only 1 outcome and that is ktfo. Khan has to stick to 1-3 punch combos nothing more, he's fast enough to do it but he ain't no mayweather too, he's going to have to rise to the occasion for this one.

You guys put the living inside grave Don't make a deity out of Canelo just because he pulleed off that uppercut to duck move against Cotto who has a small body frame compared to him.

While I do think Canelo will leave Khan looking up at the lights within six rounds, the Lara fight is not a good example of Canelo's improvement in terms of cutting off the ring and fighting a boxer. He did a ton of following Lara, threw a lot of wide hooks, threw very infrequent single shots while eating Lara's jab and straight left, and consistently let Lara dictate and get off first for the first half of the fight. The only things he did right was constantly bringing some pressure and he focused a decent bit with his single shots on Lara's body which ultimately wore Lara down in the 2nd half to where he was more running than punching, but it was hardly a revelation of a performance from Canelo. He lights up brawlers, but he's nowhere near as dynamic against boxer-type fighters. Fortunately for him, Khan, while fast, is nowhere near as good defensively as the other boxer-types he's fought, plus Khan has little power at Welterweight, much less 155.

If he fights like Paulie Malignaggi he'll still lose but he has a better chance to not be stopped :/
