Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: Nobody Wants Kovalev - That's The Guy I Want!

Olympic gold medal winner Andre Ward is very motivated to face WBO/IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev in the fall.

There is a deal in pace where both boxers will have up to two interim bouts because facing each other in the fall. Ward will return on March 26th against unbeaten Sullivan Barrera. Kovalev was back last month when he stopped Jean Pascal in seven rounds. He is scheduled to fight again in the summer, possibly on a June date in Russia.

Khan did, doubt if he win, but let's go Ward. Show this slugger what true defense is.

My most anticipated fight of the year. I don't care if it is or isn't going to do huge PPV numbers. This is THE fight I want to see.

Clock is ticking on the Kovalev bandwagon. Nothing against the guy but all the people that hyped Sergei up over shallow wins will ditch him just as quickly.

This is the best fight of the year regards to talent. If Ward beats Barerra soundly it'll make the Kovalev fight even more intriguing. Hopefully they do this fight in Nov or March.

He went after the feared Golovkin and then when GGG put up roadblocks he switched course to go after the feared Kovalev.

You have to respect the courage of Andre Ward.
