That's after fighting rubio monroe and lemuix lol
Isn't Wade his mandatory now since Johnson is injured? He says he wants to unify the titles so he has to fight his mandatory to keep the belt doesn't he? I don't understand some of you guys, You see Canelo (who'd rather fight a welterweight) and Saunders and whoever else turn fights down with him and still get upset when he takes a mandatory challenger while he continues to wait. That's not constructive criticism at all, its exactly what the thread starter said it is.

Not pro or against GGG but what have Lara done to be consider a good opponent? What have Jacobs done? Lemieux was actually a belt holder at his weigh class.

It's not Gennadys fault he couldn't get Strum, Martinez, Cotto, Quacklin in the ring. You would need to point a gun to their head.

I mean, Quillin priced himself out. 10 million dollars? FOH.
One could argue that maybe that was Team Golovkins intentions, but whatever. I hear your points, but there a handful of guys who are willing to get in the ring with Gennady and the way his career is being steered we arent getting those fights. I got Genneday beating all the guys I mentioned as well, with the exception of Ward and maybe Degale. Good fights that need to be made.

come on only thing people wanna see is him fight stiffer competition. Is that too much for fans to ask? I for one am not a fan of watching mismatches where the result is a given.

There are fighters out there that can test him....the fights have to be made...nothing more or less

nobody trashes GGG even on this site

oh come on you know this is bull crap. you've never seen anyone call golovking triple duck, bumlovkin, little g... these are nick names of affection?

GGG gets hate on this site but it's no different then any other top fighter.... its just how it is but saying he doesn't get trashed on this site is ******ed.

For the life of me I can't understand why. Judging from this forum alone you'd be led to believe he has no skill and is the biggest coward in boxing. Does anyone else thing this anti-GGG trend has gone too far in the wrong direction?

I wonder if this Canelo vs. Khan circus show will finally put GGG's actions in perspective.
Let Golovkin fight at least one dangerous opponent before hanging up the gloves and the mass majority of the hate goes away.

Lara and Andrade bring more boxing skill to the table than anyone K2 has actually ended up putting Golovkin in with, and Andre Ward may actually be their nightmare.

If no one wants to fight Golovkin at 160, check with the sanctioning organizations and take a non-title fight at 168; Golovkin may end up blasting through those guys as well, but at least he'd have the spectacle of blowing through a guy, walking into the ring at 180lbs+.

Alvarez is likely to catch criticism for the Khan fight, but that will be lessened because he's already fought Lara, Trout, Angulo, Mayweather, and Cotto, among other fights (though fights that fans can look at and see are tough fights); he's proven that he can fight, starting to earn the rep that the hype train had already put on him even before the Trout fight.

Until Golovkin fights a single tough fight, the criticisms are more than justified.

terms of endearment...truthfully it comes from him having a lot of hype but look at this resume...the hype is too high considering who he actually fought

....pointing out a fighter needs to fight stiffer competition is not an insult...in his case its the truth.
