Highly skilled fighter, I just disagree with the way his career is being steered at his age. I also believe his reluctance to fight Ward at 168 and his willingness to fight other guys at 68 looks bad which ever way you decide to slice it. He's fighting Dominic Wade next coming off of victories over Lemuix and Rubio, where's the competition? He's a good fighter, I just want him to be a good fighter in the ring with other good fighters.

That's after fighting rubio monroe and lemuix lol
Yes. After getting turned down by fighters like Cotto, Chavez Jr, Saunders, Canelo (for now), etc. Quillin said he wants $10mil to fight him and Jacobs isnt even looking in GGG's direction. Ward said he was open to a fight "sometime next year after 2-3 tuneups".

Who else is he suppose to fight in the meantime while he waits for Canelo to man up?

I wonder if this Canelo vs. Khan circus show will finally put GGG's actions in perspective.
Come on dude please stop with this BS!

GGG gets criticized for his resume and his not living up to his words. This is no different than other high profile boxers have gotten here on NSB.

Rarely if ever do you see his skillset questioned or criticized.

GGG fans really need to stop whining and over exaggerating the criticism he gets. Its very fair.

Hate is a bit too strong of a word...even the people who criticize him acknowledge he is a very good fighter....People just want to see him FIGHT a very good fighter.

When you get the type of hype he does, endorsements and HBO pumping you up, then fans are gonna want to see you mix it up with good fighters...thats not hate...thats criticism

look at his resume in comparison to his hype....its doesnt add up

people piss on Khan...he is fighting Canelo in May because he has been ducked at 147 by certain fighter and Khan always said he wanted to be retired by 30 years old.

IF they wont fight him, GGG should move up like Khan

It is really not hate, it is his fan base being sensitive much like Mayweather and Pacquiao fan base was over the years. You love to criticize every other fighter but can't take it when somebody Criticize yours

GGG really don't have that much "HATE" people just want to see him vs the Best before trying to Crown him the "Greatest Middleweight Ever" like some are already trying to do

Deontay Wilder, Charles Martin, Fury, Canelo, Leo Santa Cruz are all getting the exact same treatment. None of them will ever get to a point in which all fans agree that they have proven themselves "Enough". GGG career doesn't end if he beats Canelo, fans will continue to call for him to fight the next best thing much like they did with Mayweather and Pacquiao

Same thing with Lara, if that fight ever happens, once Gennady stops him it'll be 'ahhhhh but he just a JMW doe!!'
Full credit if he beats Lara, regardless of weight. Lara stomps every opponent Gennady ever faced, no reason GGG shouldn't get credit if they fought. I actually think GGG would beat Lara, great scalp for his resume.

                Ok...........

That's after trying Canelo (Khan FFS?) and offering Billy Joe Saunders career high payday.

His mandatory, Tureano Johnson dropped out.

The only person I would like to see him fight who hasn't been raised is Danny Jacobs. I presume politics get in the way but I am happy for people to shout that GGG wants none of Danny because he's scared. I don't think it's true but at least I can see the logic.

GGG is a decent, skilled fighter with an aura of unbeatability about him. He appears to want to fight good middleweights who appear to not wish to fight him. He is a long way from being an ATG and some way off from HOF status.

I'm neither a hater, nor a crazed fan.

You, my strange friend, are a hater.

Also writing 'lol' to ones own comments seems to be a sign of a moron. I see it a lot. You may want to consider both your analysis and your use of 'lol'.

As a GGG hater, what I can say about him is he does stand for what all us boxing fans want out of a boxer, he KO's his opponents, hes very active, he wants to Unify 1 division, great amateur pedigree, and hes pretty humble for the most part. His fans and his trainer are the ones that put a dark cloud over him. I can understand their hype about him for the characteristics I mentioned but I think there is more to GGG's bandwagon than the obvious which is why I cant stand him.

Hahaha, as I thought the responses prove my point.

GGG is a coward, a ducker, and a disappointment because he wanted to meet a top 3 pound for pound (when active) fighter down the middle in a non-title fight? After getting turned down 2 years earlier?

Am I missing something? People seem really desperate to paint him in the same light as fighters "ducking" him...but in doing so they throw out all sense of reason and objectivity. Why?

Again I'm just curious. The level of irrational anger towards him makes very little sense.

I mean, I get disliking a trainer or a promoter. They are almost universally fully of **** in the former case and complete snakes in the later case. That's only natural...

...but it's like hating Pac because of Bob Arum. Pretty silly.
