Larryggg is correct in pointing out there are a lot of Canelo fans that still to this day kill Floyd for "bringing JMM up 2 weight classes" who are ok with this fight.

No real boxing fan should be okay with this fight...

Yep. Now it's awesome to these peasants.

you think that canelo's resume is littered with bums because you actually knew who he was and got to see him on TV when he was 19, 20 years old. most fighters are still fighting amateur at that point. and if they aren't, they're fighting, you gussed it "bums." canelo has a terrific resume for a 25 year old boxer in 2016.

fought trout when he was highly ranked off of the cotto win, and lara, who the anti-golovkin crusaders seem to think is a threat to golovkin. he also fought floyd mayweather in '13, when he was still moving well and the top p4p fighter on any credible list. canelo's fought tougher comp than any fighter his age or below.

canelo's not a bum fighting bums. he's a carefully moved fighter who is holding a MW title hostage by fighting at 155 lbs and refusing to fight golovkin, but that doesn't mean he's a bum.

this "all or nothing" / "bum or great" mentality needs to stop. it's a product of the fanboyism. if you're calling any top ranked fighter a bum you're probably a fanboy.

canelo - khan's a big, big mismatch. i'm disappointed that it was even approved by a commission for the MW title. it's still a better fight than salka - garcia by a long shot. salka was a nobody at LW when danny moved him to 140 + 1 lb. khan's at least a former title holder, and he's getting moved up a weight class plus 1 lb.
