That's not a bad strategy; Amir should just circle, move and avoid the combination punching altogether and just look to potshot alvarez as much as possible as Mayweather did in their bout.

The reason being is Canelo Alvarez is a counter puncher; Who doesn't like to throw a lot of punches and the longer Khan sets in the pocket, while punching in bunches, the greater his chances of getting hurt or dropped by a punch he doesn't see in the exchanges.

Khan needs to fight his own fight. In and out and throwing combinations. He isn't as quick and accurate throwing single shots like Mayweather, is not nearly as good as a counter puncher and not nearly as versatile.

When he couldn't perform as good as Pacquiao did against Algieri, Khan was left saying that this version of Algieri could have given Pacquiao problems. I'm expecting something similar when Canelo takes him out, only it'll be about Mayweather

Instead of Khan throwing six punch combinations at a time, perhaps it would be better for him to start shortening them up by throwing two and three punch combinations at a time and then circling out of harm's way.

Let's face some facts, the longer he sets in the pocket throwing high volumes of combination punches the greater his chances of getting countered and hurt in the exchanges as was the case with Danny Garcia.

            Exactly.

Just because Floyd did it does not mean Khan can do the same. Two entirely different fighters.

Con will fall to pieces when the first shot lands on the glass jaw.

              He won't beat the count

There is a great difference in the power of DG than Canelo

Amir Khan does not have anywhere near the ability to do what Mayweather did. It's an absolute joke to think it's that simple or that Khan can do the same. Think about how many near misses Mayweather had whip by his face and body in that fight. They only missed because of his reflexes and positioning, areas where Khan is not in the same stratosphere as Mayweather

Problem is Khan isn't capable of fighting that way. He's a poor man's Pacquiao. He overwhelms with speedy combinations. That is tailor made for Alvarez.

Khan doesn't have better footwork, he doesn't have better timing, and he isn't smarter. You need to be superior in at least two of those areas to outbox someone. Khan isn't.

Khan has to execute a perfect fight and control the distance like Floyd did to try to win. Defensively he is nowhere near Floyd so I don't think he has a good chance to win. Canelo is too strong and fast. Khan won't look any different or more effective than Cotto did even if he fights well.

Amir khan is right CANELO was green(20yrs old) and was weight drained at 152 pounds, fighting with his & and Floyd's 154 pound belts on the line. Totally different then CANELO vs GGG at 155 pounds, Gennady said he can easily make 154 , and called out everyone from 154-168. Khans a smart fighter , hit the film room. that's what a student of the game does. Gives GGG time to lose those five pounds and sign the contract , BECAUSE AFTER CANELO MURDERS "KING KHAN" , GGG YOUR NEXT ON MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND , YOU HYPEJOB CHUMP!
