Cotto was trying to defend against blown up welterweights? Any articles on this or proof?

GGG sold more than 97k too.

Repeating the same lie 100 times doesn't make it true.

Good point, but please do not mention Mosley, as he was a shot fighter when he fought Canelo...

He deserves all the stick he gets. I can't defend this.

Cotto approached the same problem from the opposite direction, dragging MWs down instead of WWs up.

Yeah canelo in a no win situation. The amount of backlash he got already is stunning to me tbh. I thought he had a lot of die hard fans. I'd he wins be suppose to win and he loses well might be the end of his career.

That's why you dont fight smaller fighters!

And I wonder why he has a better resume. Hes been heavily promoted since he was 16 years old and carefully groomed to be one of the top fighters, it's quite easy to make big fights when you're Canelo, meanwhile Golovkin couldn't even get guys like Felix Sturm and Ndam to fight him, let alone the really big names like Martinez, Cotto, Canelo etc.
