Jennings has a horrible manager. If he loses by KO he officially becomes nothing more than a gatekeeper.

solid fight and step up. Needs this fight and other fights similar (ex. chisora) to build up some hype and some experience

Are we going to pretend he's more than that? At this point I think Jennings accepts his position. There's nothing wrong with that, you can still get paid well and all it takes is one punch in the HW division (Tony Thompson vs. Price) and you can become a millionaire.

The HW division is the only division where being a gate keeper can be a good thing.

I like this fight even though Jennings lost his last fight by KO.
I think Jennings still has that athleticism to move around.
I hope he can be at least 80% the version that fought Wlad.

Exactly. I'm not sure he's even gatekeeper-level now. However, a win over AJ will instantly bring him back to relevance. Jennings has been in there with best. AJ is heavy on hype with no mentionable comp so far. That's the kind you want to go after. Ortiz was the kind of fight he SHOULDN'T have gone after.

He was offered the fight, but heard he want a tune-up fight after taking 2 losses and getting KO'd pretty hard

Are they trying to kill Jennings?

He's being thrown to the bears lately.

This is a big test for Joshua. Props to him for being willing to take it on.

Good fight in my opinion... Joshua should win but this is his first real step up. B level fringe contender...
