I think putting down either guy is ridiculous, both went 12 rounds with a Klitschko, both have had some good performances and Chisora beat Helenius in what was a plain robbery (not even that close in reality). Both guys may be on the way down but neither is a janitor or a bum and career wise, Chisora has achieved much more than Jennings.

Wlad, Povetkin, Ortiz or Wilder would be nice.
But on serious note I'm very happy it's not Del Boy. He is taking baby steps but he's stepping up slowly but surely. Good matchmaking from Matchroom. Now the American casual audience can get introduced to him.
After the PPV figures from last time and the current landscape of the division you can bet your house SHO or HBO will pick this fight up.Last edited by REMOVE SHARK 55; 02-01-2016, 11:57 AM.Comment

Carry on pretending that Jennings is some kind of elite HW if it makes you feel better. There's only result in this fight, a Joshua KO.Originally posted by Anita GofradumpQuote:

Another KO coming up for Bryant and his journey to gatekeeper is nearly complete.
Would you have preferred Vinny Maddalone or Martin Rogan?

Good fight. I think he gives A.J a lot of trouble.
Really he is a lot better, more proven Dillian Whyte with much better conditioning. He isn't going to tire after throwing 10 punches over 3 rounds.
If fans think this is some sort of routine check I feel they're going to be in for a big shock.
Type of fight I think people are going to expect AJ to win with an early blow out and its going the distance or late and AJ is going to have to dig awfully deep.Comment

You're literally the only one in this thread dismissing Jennings as an opponent. Most people here would/should have the sense the recognise this as a very credible fight for a prospect.Comment

Jennings is not elite but he is a solid certified top 10 HW that for me is improving even in defeat whilst AJ is a very raw, basic big man with some of the slowest, flattest feet I've seen in a long time.
Questionable chin, questionable stamina and more holes in his defense than Swiss cheese.
Its like people just watch K.O reels or something. This kid AJ is green as anything. I don't think I'd be overly surprised if Jennings took him in deep and drowned him. He really is far from the finished article.
You seen him when its not at his preferred range? Just another big man whose feet don't react. He freezes up, stiff as a board like David Price.Comment

LOL it depends on his goals. If he wants to be a truly global superstar, he needs to get some exposure on this side of the pond. I know he's already a huge star in the UK..Comment

Basically, the best way to assess a guy's real potential is to see whether dan cov rates him or not. If he does, it's almost always likely the guy's complete duff. Joshua can now safely take confidence in the fact that dan cov doesn't rate him.Comment

Why would Matchroom put Joshua in with Jennings, a guy who just got knocked out, when they could target Bermane Stiverne, get about the same effect (though do so against a guy coming off of a win and the ability to give Joshua rounds)?Just confirmed to me IN PERSON via a mole at Matchroom who i wont be naming!
Officially being announced at noon this Friday.
The whole card will be stacked with stable stars, just like they did in Dec and May last year. An almost identical formula.
Matchroom have submitted a request to SKY distribution for it to be televised as a PPV event, the results of which will be made at a later date once they've made their decision (a likely YES based on the Dec PPV results).
