It'd be hypocritical if Ggg was holding the lineal SMW belt, then demanded to unify 3 belts vs his mando Ward at 161, a guy he outweighs fight night.

      No it wouldn't.
Canelo beating GGG would do nothing to convince the haters.

Canelo could KO GGG in the first rounds and the haters will claim that GGG was never really that good, he was all hype, or that he was paid to to take a dive.

And guys like you still don't understand the difference between the situations....

        Ward 168 champion
        GGG 160 champion
        Canelo 160 champion..

Do you need more then that to understand the difference?
Probably...so see the 2 under Ward? They are champions in the same exact weight class...therefore, no need for a catch weight....see the top guy Ward, who now fights at 175, he would have met GGG right smack in the middle of their 2 weight classes for the fight... But we know the royalty that Ward is and the huge crowd and money he brings to a fight so nobody could ever ask royalty like him to make any concessions.

It's plain to see. And you aren't the only one, sadly.
GGG and Ward are fighters from different divisions. A CW makes sense if it's a non title bout. Ward is much bigger than GGG.

In the other side, both Canelo and GGG belong in the same division and weight aprox the same on fight night, with Canelo being a bit heavier. And the fight is for the MW title. So it's a travesty by Canelo.

If you don't see the differences you're blind. Anyway wtf is Ward trying to fight smaller man when he has an even match up with Kovalev?

They are in different divisions, doe. A catchweight makes sense against Ward, doe.

You guys can hem and haw and spin and backpedal all you want. The fact of the matter is that fighters are mostly looking for an advantage when they ask their opponents to come down in weight.

In Golovkin's case it is particularly egregious because he has no problem fighting other people at 168. It was just one specific guy for which his team decided to throw up roadblocks.

But does Canelo want to be a man?
The people are calling for this fight the title organisations are calling for it, there weren't many people calling for Lara fight to happen but Canelo delivered on that promise yet here we are with a potential super showdown that could happen May yet Canelo doesn't want it.
It says a lot about him as a person, its all fine and well when he is fighting men who are much smaller than him but he doesn't want to fight on the same type of weight level as someone, this is not the act of someone who isn't contemplating losing.

                Canelo
                Golovkin

                Same weight division

What does Ward have to do with this, please grow up.

Same old pattern from a set bunch of users on here, we get rid of the king-pin of rehashing the same old crap (dirk) but some of the boring monotony of users still exist who repeat themselves daily as if they were saying something new.
I've looked after many old people suffering from senile dementia and I can tell you this from these users are comparable to those people, its a shame because one doesn't have a choice to control it the others on the other hand have nothing better to say because of their lack of knowledge and interest in the sport.

Golovkin's team said 164 or no fight.

Now they are crying because Canelo is saying the same thing right back at them.

That's what it has to do with this.

You miss the point, this thread is about middleweights fighting each other nowhere in the story does it say Ward.
                      Try to move on.
