Kovalev resigned an exclusive HBO contracts while he was free and there was talks for a fight with Stevenson... He could have waited and make that fight happen but didn't bother to... How do you call that ?

GYM is very square with their offer... They said it would be alive as long as the two guys were Champs... On a side note a 50/50 deal is what it takes when a 3 Belts holder has the marketing Charisma of a Jerboa... I'll say it again, Kovalev CAN'T sell anything on his own...

Just make the fight happen and stop with the bull****. If they both wanted to fight each other the fight would have been made already, someone is ducking.

This right here is the correct post

This will definitely be difficult. As soon as LOYALTY got mentioned its obvious to see this is personal.

Why would HBO agree to split profit with a network that has no real involvement in the fight. The problem here is Stevenson hasn't fought on ST in a year and has no contract with ST yet insists they get a piece of the action.

Its May-Pac all over again. I don't think it will ever gets made then as both aren't real boxing superstars.

I can't imagine HBO would be down for a 50/50 split on the PPV revenue. I'm a fan of both guys to some degree (not a big fan of either guy tbf), but there is no debating Kovalev gots heat right now & a big P4P fight vs Ward on the table & Stevenson has lost a ton of heat since he left HBO & he has no interesting fights on the table & his promoter has stated he has no interest in making Stevenson vs Beterbiev which is probably the most interesting fight for Stevenson outside of Kovalev. HBO, Duva & Kovalev gots the edge here & suggesting 50/50 on PPV isn't an offer anyone with knowledge of advantages & risk would accept if they were on their side.

The 50/50 deal offer was from Main-Events, GYM/Haymon brought the shared broadcast offer in... As for Stevenson, Eleider Alvarez should be his next fight in April... Not a bad challenger if you ask me, but nothing for Stevenson to worry about too much...

PPV for this fight is a joke in the first place. CBS probably has a wider platform to advertise if it has to be on PPV though. If they're gonna play a joke on us by having it on PPV, might as well go all out on the joke and have it on both networks.

Honestly, it's not the worst idea. The joint network PPV angle might bring it some hype. Casuals might think it's on the level of Pacquiao/Mayweather and Tyson/Lewis if they're doing this. If one network is saying is completely doable, then it probably is. If it's the only way to make the fight happen, then why not?
