Ive been in love with boxing and following it since at least 1974 or 1975. I was very young at any rate when fights like we watched tonight were on network TV. The point is Ive never seen anyone who has actually killed a man in the ring talk like Kovalev does. Ive seen plenty say the same things he does but they never did the deed, he has and he dont care. He is a mean mother ****er and its not an act.
Who in the past compares to Kovalev's meanness?

A lot of morons who take things too seriously. You can't just kill an opponent in pro boxing, the rules and the way the sport is regulated makes it almost impossible to happen. Deaths in boxing are always freak accidents, most of them aren't even fights that are out of the ordinary if you compare it to other fights where a guy got beat up bad.
Kovalev uses mind games, intimidation. There's a trigger happy ref involved, several doctors at ringside, the opponent's corner who can stop the fight at any point etc. They're just words, calm your ****.
But still. If he dies, HE DIES.Comment

The post fight interview gave you chills really? That **** was comedyYoung George Foreman?
I know Ali, Mayorga, Toney and Tyson were pretty mean but they were somewhat funny too and were doing it for the show. Sergey is just mean and cold. Even his humor is cold.
The post fight interview gave me chills. And Kova mind****ed Max, Pascal and Adonis.Comment

calm down batty boys
of course he didn't intentionally want to kill someone
but saying things like i want to break his nose, i want to punish him more, is just feel wrong especially after he killed a man before with his punches
for example : there's a guy called mark, he already killed a guy in the past and its well known to public, but he still like to say "im going to kill you man one of this day" to his friends and his neighbours, even though he's not meant it but its just not right
he's one of a kind i tell you that, his personalty especially
typical cold russian guy, like real life ivan dragoComment

Monzón was meaner.
If you were a good boxer in his division he would carry you thru 15 rounds, letting you of the hook each round just to destroy you.
The he would finish you up and your career too.
Check everyone he fought, they were **** after fighting him.Comment

AND YOU ARE A PHAGGOT!Most boxers chat shit because they don't expect the unfortunate to happen. Kovalev has killed an opponent before, so he knows first hand what can happen in the ring, but he continues talking about making his suffer and has gone out of his way to prolong a fight to meet that goal.
He is a disgusting, deplorable and evil human being.

Tyson was mean. He didn't know what the hell he was saying when he went on his wild verbal rampages. He wasn't acting or planning the crap that he spewed. Jeez, he beat the hell out of people and robbed them when he was only a preteen. I'm sure, he was a real sweetheart. Pfft

Foreman was vicious but he wasn't a talker. Ali was very mean spirited, even with his humour. Mayorga was mean spirited even when he acted humorous. Many, many fighters have been as mean or more so than Kovalev. Most of these guys have a mean streak inside them. If they were loving, sweet guys they wouldn't be bashing each others brains out. Some of them are worse than others but they all have a mean streak.Comment

Some guys are never the same again after an opponent's death, some deal with it without being affected as fighters. Neither are in the wrong, they just deal with it differently.Comment
