Well, HBO is really pushing for Kovalev vs Ward as the big money fight. They're basically just saying **** Stevenson, he had his chance and went the other way.

Did you listen to the Showtime team after Jacobs beat Quillin and how they tried to belittle GGG? The only one that kept it real was Bernstein by saying Quillin is an Andy Murray level fighter. Hate on HBO all you want, but Showtime does the same exact crap. If what happened last night was on Showtime, I'd be willing to bet their crew would've spun that as Kovalev ducking.

Stevenson was in attendance. The powers to be won't let this fight happen because who ever loses will be the financial loss for what ever promotional/network company.

Stevenson has to fight somebody of note in his next fight. There are some great match ups that can be done at 175

It's not realistic why should they push for it? Adonis is PBC enough said.

Good thing HBO is nowhere near the reason the fight hasn't happened yet.

Is he? He's begging and willing to suck **** for Showtime to be involved with the PPV despite not having fought on the network in his last few fights.

It's not just HBO that have bad mouthed Stevenson, even Pascal admitted to attempting to make a fight with him a few times and called him some choice names including aduckin Chickenson.

Pascal beat Stevenson twice in the ammys (not that it matters in the pros) but he cited that as the reason Stevenson wanted no part of him.

Not sure here if Stevenson will fight Alvarez or even a re with Fonfara.

A person can only run with "I'm the real champ" for so long.

The guy is a joke and his words mean nothing.
Hopkins was apparently looking for 70/30 on the money, Pascal wanted beyond 50/50 for a fight that he was only mandated to get 25/75, and Kovalev and his camp walked away from a 50/50 split of the take, for fear of offending "the almighty HBO".
