He won't, because he's not American. LHW is an American glamour division. Just look at how little attention Kovalev gets as he's doing what he's doing. Now imagine if an American fighter were doing it. Get the picture? Max is already desperately calling on Ward to come fix the situation and put an American back on top, but it's not going to happen.

      Wow....
Cherry-picking a bit there aren't you? He has a win against Dawson who went to be lineal champ, a draw against Hopkins, close fight with Froch and a win over Bute.

      Keep it honest.

Kov is a very good fighter and one of my favorite to watch, however, let us not pretend like he has been challenged. His best opponent to date is a 50 year old Hopkins. Pascal is just a delusional dude whom doesn't belong nowhere near a ring with Kov. Pascal has zero talent and his just an unschooled and wild fighter.

I don't believe Adonis is a good fighter either and probably on the same level as Pascal and doesn't belong in there with Kov. Ward will provide a true test for Kov and even if he wins it won't be easy. This fight will be both Ward and Kov hardest test.

His best wins are over a near fifty year old and a guy who got schooled by that near fifty year old. I don't know how he's going to break the top ten right now.

Now, there's a difference between being a good P4P fighter and being one of the best LHW's of all time. I don't see Kov as someone that will go up to Heavyweight and be competitive. But that still doesn't stop him from going down in history as one of the best Light Heavies of all time.

Not everyone can make that transition from 175 to heavy. Just look at Bob Foster. But that still doesn't stop Foster from being one of the best of all time.
Stop the wank man seriously lol.... I agree that Kovalev is on his way to being one of the best ever to weigh in at 175 but you can not be using Tyson's knockout of Spinks to determine the result of a Kovalev-Spinks fight, Jesus man just stop the wank seriously.

Kovalev has all the skill and power in the world, which is a dangerous combination but he still needs the Stevenson fight, as does Stevenson himself. He also needs to beat 2 or 3 of the new generation of contenders and then he may be in the conversation.
