What's scary is how some of those right hands don't seem to be thrown with a lot of effort, but when they land they wobble their opponents.
    Insane power.

Hopefully hes get his chance to step up soon and prove greatness. We say this same hype with Bute, Matthysee, and countless others. Let him have his chance to prove it.
The eye test my friend. The eye test.

Michael Spinks, Roy Jones, Bob Foster, James Toney, Michael Moorer, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Sam Langford... I think Kovalev has a LONNNGGGGG way to go before he can be mentioned alongside those names.

To beat a wolf you must match him with a wolf and that's Beterbiev. Now Ward is a great fighter but he's been a wily coyote fighting like a coyote. So moving up in weight to a fight a mean wolf like Kovalev might be wrong. He can match him jab for jab but his clinch game won't work his headbutts won't work and he doesn't have much of a right hand.

Clinch will work just fine... No doubt.

I doubt the Stevenson fight will ever happen.
              Precisely.

If he beat Stevenson and Ward, he'd still have at least 5 years left.

Besides these three, LHW is a pretty **** division. I love my Polack Fonfara but he'd get oblitered by Kova. Betevbiev will get beaten as soon as he meets a decent fighter who can cotrol the distance. Fonfara would beat him.

The division is just not deep enough. He could move up to CW but that's a. 25 pounds gap, the bigger boys would obliterate our favorite killa.

Hopkins's clinch is pretty strong and was useless and I know that Bhop is 50 but it's hard to clinch strong guys like Beterbiev and Kovalev when they don't want to be there.

He's a solid opponent because lost to Cobra 7 years ago and a narrow win over a shyte hype-job in Bute??? That's Pascal's measure of greatness??????

Ward out clinched Clemente Russo back in the Olympics, Clemente Russo, the guy who's currently the strongest amatuer heavyweight in the world...

To be fair, I'm no historian, but Langford was a great all around fighter because he started at a lower weight and rose all the way to fight Heavyweights even though he lost to them. But Langford wasn't necessarily a great Light Heavy.

H2H, half those guys won't stand a chance against Kov.

Toney tastes his first KO loss.

Moorer without a doubt gets stretched.

                      Langford won't last 22 seconds.

                      Spinks loses

Roy has the best chance and even then I'd say a few prayers for him.

It's just something in the eye test with Kovalev that's different.
