    He might be something special.
Yep, absolutely. Even more exciting is that he has the opponents to prove it, as long as Duva can get em to take it.

Can that woman please stop ****ing around playing power games? We might actually have seen Kovalev/Stevenson already if she wasn't messing around.

he's only fought "30" fights how in the **** can he be considered that?
he hasnt faced the other side of the mountain on the showtime side
and he's NOWHERE near that bc he hasnt moved up ANY divisions he only has two solid names on his resume a 50 YEAR OLD bernard hopkins
and a pascal who was a FORMER CHAMPION who's style fit his.
yall folks tryna crown him already but when mayweather did his thang for a time span of bein' a champion in MULTIPLE divisions yall say he aint accomplished **** BUT now all of a sudden kov if he cleans out ONE division he'll be "fighter of the decade"? tfoh

If he beats Ward and Stevensons while they're still undefeated then he has a damn good argument to be fighter of the decade, not only that, but he will also be considered by me as a top 5 atg light heavyweight.

Honestly, im just having alittle fun with this thread,, still a year or 2 away from really beng able to narrow down the candidates..

But I'm being 100% real, when I say Ward has no chance vs Kovalev.. I honestly feel that way, and haven't been more certain about a fight since arreola vs mitchell

I understand ur point but these things are relative, u have to compare him with people that also fought this decade, and so far out of all the top P4P fighters he's very close to being the most accomplished, Floyd should've won it last decade but because Arum belongs to a certain group of people that basically controls the media they gave it to Pacquiao.

I also understand that Kovalev still didn't accomplish what Floyd accomplished from 2010-2015 and maybe he won't, but even if he came close he's gonna get it ocer Floyd because Floyd already retired, so they'll give it to the active gzy that brings the money.

Lmao.... Are you a troll or just naive

                  1. How many fights did Ray leonard have in the 80s

                  2. How many divisions did monzon, duran, and ali compete in the 70s

                  3. Nobody said anything about floyd, he didn't win it because manny went thru more divisions and better opponents

                  4. By your logic, or lack of, wilder could beat fury, wlad, Joshua, haye, Povetkin but he didn't do MULTIPLE divisions so wilder wouldnt acceptable candidate

Too early to crown him Fighter of the Decade, we don't know what will happen in the next 3-4 years.

With that being said, I do think HBO is doing him a disservice by them being more invested in GGG and Canelo but not as much in Kovalev, I think I posted this in another thread when everybody was trying Crowning Roman Gonzalez and GGG #1 P4P. Why not Kovalev as P4P King? He has a Good Resume and the man is destroying everything they put in front of him.

I been saying I do think that Kovalev vs Ward will be for the Undisputed #1 P4P Crown of course if Ward takes care of business and make it to Kovalev. People shouldn't just overlook Barrera, that dude is a talent and he can crack, very dangerous test for Ward!

But I have Kovalev #1 P4P because the man is not depending on Hype like others, he is going out, taking on all comers and destroying them.
