In fact, he won his 8th divisional belt with a CW against Margarito. Why wasn't it a big deal then?

His welterweight title was a catchweight as well.

he won two belts with CW (cotto/marg) but I don't think he defended belts at catchweight. fought mosley and clottey at 147. he won the belt against Margs at CW but dropped it afterwards. and people did give him crap for that

i think i can give a pass for one catchweight, esp. if its your first fight at that weight. but once you win the title, you should fight/defend at the full weight

So loeffler says since lil g mando he won't drop down in weight and fight canelo so he might vacate then to turn around and say they will neogoiate weight purse etc once canelo stripped lol news flash dummy if you go that route then canelo will get purse he wants and weight take the 60/40 split and do 157 or end up having to make fight with a 80/20 split and prob 155-156 as weight canelo will still call shots and demands without belt sucks but that's what happens when your the established fighter who took on tough competition we still waiting on lil g to take on his first
