those are ppv fights in canada and have nothing to do with showtime or cbs. they don't get any of that ppv money. if they were so worried about how much showtime had invested, when adonis fought on Spike whey didn't they throw a fit and demand that showtime/cbs gets a cut????? My point exactly. They did a one off then and they can do one now.

If you're going to sell a fight on PPV internationally, it is my understanding that the fight can't be aired on free TV in the US, limiting Stevenson's US broadcast partners to either SpikeTV or Showtime (ESPN, from what I can tell, is also a basic cable channel in Canada).

No one through a fit about Stevenson fighting on SpikeTV because the fight was Stevenson-Karpency, a bout that Showtime would've carried if need be, but a fight that they were fine seeing elsewhere.

Kovalev fought Hopkins & Pascal. Stevenson has not secured a fight with Kovalev, Hopkins, or Pascal. That tells you everything you need to know. His boss's attempts to monopolize boxing has done just the opposite, & left him on the outside looking in.

Someone said that earlier on the other thread. Hard to overlook the fact that HBO killed the fight this time around, but Stevenson's career is stagnating that's for sure.
