I don't think Golovkin will be fighting any of those 4 potential opponents.

Not Saunders, Lee, Eubank, or Degale.

Saunders has 2 better offers on the table, as does Eubank..... and I can't see them fighting Lee, a one-punch guy with nothing to offer. Also, the fans may not approve of Lee what with him coming off a loss, even though he is likely an ok opponent at this point due to the timing, Team Golovkin seem to be genuinely out-of-options at this point.

Did they really put no effort whatsoever into negotiating with Canelo ?

Yeah some of them are getting repugnant. They are just so afraid of him being in a fight where he doesn't get a KO. My guess is a lot of them deep down think he is like Matthysse-a guy who can't beat top tier fighters unless he gets a KO.

That is silly to me because GGG does have a ton of skills. Its just that whenever a fight he wants doesn't happen, he finds the least dangerous opponent to fill the void.
