i need to see the fight
and if ggg is not getting canelo he has no reason to stay on hbo..pbc pays better purse and he's not a ppv so he should go were all the fights are and that is pbc for him
All I'm saying is that it's a slippery slope. First GGG fights a non middleweight on a different network and next you GGG haters will say- if he left HBO once to fight a bum why won't he leave for Jacobs. This **** needs to stop with the leverage and bull****. There should be two leagues of boxing- those that want the cash and those that want the belts and acknowledgement of greatness. that's what it comes down to. If you think Garcia beating Guerrero for the vacant belt makes him a champ then you should stay on PBC. But I want to see legacy fights. I want fights that are meaningful. If BJS and Canelo don't want the fight, then GGG can't force them. When fans like you accept the mediocre fights on PBC it shows that more people will watch bad fights so guess what- PBC MAKES MORE BAD FIGHTS. They don't see the purpose of putting on good shows if fans are willing to watch crap and like it.

Unless Wade comes to an agreement with K2, he's not going to rich off this fight. At the same time, if Haymon wins the purse-bid, GGG will be entitled to 85%. So if K2 wins a bid with $2mill, that's $1.7mill for Golovkin vs. $300k for Wade. If Haymon kills it with $4mill, that's $3.4mill for Golovkin vs $600k for Wade.

That's alot of money for an uncompetitive fight and I can't see HBO standing in the way of GGG being stripped and not collecting that kind of easy pay. At the same time I doubt Haymon would willingly sacrifice one of his young fighters to grow the stature of an HBO fighter at such a heavy monetary expense.
That's interesting about the split. Knowing that I can see Wade/Haymon passing on it.

To be clear I would hate to see him fight Wade next. It's one I probably won't watch because of how boring that fight would be. I'm actually am more interested in the Lara match to see if GGG can ko him or not.

If I were a su****ious kinda guy I would think that some of you jokers actually understand that boxing is all about styles/matchmaking..... and that a slick Cuban mover/spoiler who just so happens to be a southpaw COULD be a stylistic nightmare for someone who relies on power/leverage.

        Nah, it couldn't be that.

The way I see it is a smaller guy who have no power to make someone bigger then him respect him who's just gonna walk foward until he gets a hit in and then match over.
I can't tell if you guys really think Lara actually win that fight or even make it close or he's one of two people who halfed ass called out GGG name and GGG didn't want to fight him.

Why do people think GGG's all power. Because his left jab is stronger then some peoples power punch? Have you not seen the Lemieux fight where he just jabbed him to death basically. That's not abusing superior power or leverage. That's boxing skill added with power. And I don't even think we've seen the best of GGG. He's always trying to give the fans a better fight so he ease up on his opponents to make the fight longer.

Styles make fights, but Lara doesn't have the style to beat GGG? GGG isn't a power puncher or brawler, he is a boxer/puncher who has one of the best jabs in the sport. He has a counter jab too, he is a mover who can cut the ring like very few can. Lara is very good at jab/straight and move... guess what, he will not be able to do that with GGG.

for the record no GGG fan wants the Wade fight... There is a difference between being forced to fight Wade who is his mandatory... i hope Wade rethinks his position and passes up the opportunity but then again the number 4 ranked guy isn't that good either.

We can talk about this all day but i am telling you if Lara ever fought GGG he won't make it to the end... and if he does it will be losing pretty much every round. Either way the best way to get this fight happen is Lara either embarrassing GGG into a fight (Barrera vs. Ward) or put himself in a mandatory position... or maybe getting a few titles at 154 and becoming the man of that division and then making a fight with GGG. Otherwise i just don't see GGG's people calling Lara because of a few twitter call outs.

              Oh really ?

              Fk, I didn't know all that ?

Oh well, I guess it's a wrap then..... that fight is clearly pointless.

Are there any other boxers who Golovkin could fight, but won't..... who you guys can simply just reassure me that he can beat..... so that I can sleep easy, and not waste time thinking about them fighting?

I don't think you guys know much about styles. Cork, you tried to explain to me how good a boxer Golovkin is by pointing out how easy he tagged Lemieux. Did you guys even read the post you replied to?

..... a slick Cuban mover/spoiler who just so happens to be a southpaw COULD be a stylistic nightmare for someone who relies on power/leverage.

Listen, the perfect opponent for a young guy, and supposed killer, is an ex-champ who has clearly slipped..... you must be aware of that, right?

Boxing is about styles/matchmaking..... balanced with risk/reward.

An ex-champ (name opponent) who has clearly slipped, is the PERFECT opponent for a young guy who is trying to establish himself..... the problem is, there aren't too many fighters who fit into that category.

So, when there happens to be one available, who is not only willing to fight you, but has been calling you out publicly..... it seems like a no-brainer, right?

              Right ?

A lot of you may not remember this..... but I specifically remember Tom Loeffler explaining why Gennady Golovkin could not possibly fight Sergio Mora..... and the excuses were absurd.

Loeffler did THE EXACT SAME THING that he used to do with Andre Ward..... stutter/stammer, and use every excuse in the book.

He did not state one genuine reason why that fight was impossible to make..... instead, he came out with every excuse in the book...... and a whole pile of silly excuses does not = 1 genuine reason.

Loeffler initially did the exact same thing with Ward.

It is clearly obvious that K2/HBO are avoiding mover/spoilers.

Nobody is necessarily saying that Mora/Lara can beat Golovkin..... just that K2 are not willing to risk Golovkin looking bad, or failing to put those guys away.

They are clearly doing everything they can to avoid de-railing the GGG-train.

              Ward (mover/spoiler) - nope
              Mora (mover/spoiler) - nope
              Lara (mover/spoiler) - nope
              --------------------------------
              Macklin (available) - check
              Stevens (available) - check
              Adama (available) - check
              Geale (available) - check
              Rubio (available) - check
              Murray (available) - check
              Monroe (available) - check
              Lemieux (available) - check

              Come on guys

Both the IBO and WBA Golovkin has were vacant belts. Golovkin fans love hypocrisy.

He won the interims first. Danny has no interest in fighting other top welterweights. He never expressed it like GGG has.

                    eddie.....

                    ..... your ridiculous sig.....

Garcia moved to welter about 5 minutes ago, he has only had 1 legitimate fight at 147..... and yet, you have him ducking 3 guys?

Two of whom, are fighting each other currently..... with the other being an untested prospect who has never faced a top opponent LMAO

Two of those guys are unavailable, and the other guy has never been available..... so, when was Garcia actually supposed to fight those guys, according to you?

Are you a silly golovtard ?

Was the Guerrero fight mandated? Because it would seem that Spence is a better fight. And btw, those fights will never happen. Garcia-Porter and Garcia-Thurman. those are the best guys in the division.

                      And they're all under Haymon.

And now after MayPac, Haymon's trying to build his next superfight (most likely, Garcia-Thurman)

and especially when you listen to Angel who claims it's better to fight Salka's then to fight another number one.
